The coldness and hostility Seonghwa demonstrated to Hyosonn at the beginning had returned newly, and all the progress lost inside the misery she felt.

She could see his suffering, the mourning of his best friend breaking him, and wished she were able to be there for consolation. But he brushed her off. This time it was for good, she knew it.

Munhee understood the reasons, and even Yunho provided his comfort, since they both saw how this turn-down was way different from the previous ones before it.

But, just like Seonghwa created a mask to hide any emotion of pain, Hyosonn did the very same, going on with the cheerleading and honor student activities she participates in.

Approximately two weeks went by, the monotony boring Hyosonn despite her pushing through it and trying to seem calm about everything.

Ha Joon is who wouldn’t stop his flirting, the trying to touch her but she would slap at him, and almost begging for her to go out with him. She was so sick of it all.

Even two new guys from the soccer team were trying their luck with her. They were gorgeous, but she just was not interested in any of them. Only one…that hates that she exists.

Having Seonghwa so near her at third period, but felt the distance and coldness radiating from him. She ends up being allowed to change desks with another student nice enough to give her the spot.

It was Friday, and Yunho along with Munhee had invited her to go out for ice cream after Hyosonn’s practice was over, but she politely declined and made the excuse that she felt really tired from the heavy practicing done every single day that week, along with the basketball games.

She had had to return to homeroom because of having left her bag in there after the last class is over and told her friends to go on without her.

The halls are still full when she heads out again.

Ha Joon wanted to pester Hyosonn some more, dressed in his P.E. uniform and smelling like a delicious and expensive perfume when he placed an arm around her back. She glared at him, her eyes demanding to know why he is touching her.

“Baby let’s go for something to eat after your practice. I saw you turn down your friends. For me, right?” he murmurs, grinning big.

She exhaled and shook her head, unable to believe how audacious he can be.

“No, dumbass. I don’t want you. I am surprised you haven’t gotten that memo after I have thrown you thousands of rejections. Stop persisting, man,” she huffed.

“If I were like that Seonghwa dude, would you want me? I’m better in the sack than him, you know. You just haven’t let me show you.”

Hyosonn rolled her eyes, seriously considering kicking him in the balls. Maybe she will.

“Ha Joon, I won’t want you in this life, nor in the past life and much less the future. Leave me the fuck alone,” she groaned, walking to the entrance with the damn guy still having his arm on her.

“He’s corrupted your innocence. You didn’t used to curse like that,” Ha Joon remarked.

Hyosonn releases a dry laugh. “That’s where you’re wrong, Ha Joon. I’ve began cursing because you piss me off so bad that you make me cuss you out. Get off me, damn it!” She spat, and after the last step out of the exit, she jabs a knee at where his balls are, if he has any.

He groaned out, incapacitated temporarily and now on the ground.

“Told you to leave me alone. I gave you the warning,” Hyosonn says near his face, smirking evilly.
