After Hyosonn spoke to her mother about the financial problem to acquire a special nurse that would care for Seonghwa’s grandmother after she comes back home on Thursday, her mother agreed immediately and got on it. That was finally settled, and Seonghwa could feel somewhat better, even if he was still pained to see his halmeoni dying.

The cancer had spread silently all over, and operating was impossible. All that could be done is help her feel comfortable and take care of the physical pain she is enduring.

He was at school the next day, still hesitant to be near people, since he’s pretty much always been a loner.

Daeseong was the only friend he had had in his life. It was understandable that he feels a bit awkward around others.

Except Hyosonn, she has always had something that attracted him to her and made him want to have her near, despite avoiding it at first.

At the rooftop, Hyosonn was with her two best friends, and Seonghwa had also remained. They chose to be here for his sake, and the discomfort he has with the majority of the human race.
At first it was awkward, but he was slowly loosening up with them.

He lounged against the border of the roof, his legs bent and Hyosonn was cuddled at his side, an arm wrapped around her small frame. She chatted with her friends, and he listened without too much commentary. He felt relaxed this way.

She laughed about something that Yunho mentioned, and Seonghwa got surprised at a sudden flip that happened inside his stomach. Are those the supposed butterflies that someone feels when they’re with their girlfriend or boyfriend? That sensation of your stomach making a flip inside you? Whoa, this is so new, and so strange for him.

He smiled, lightly kissing the side of her hair, tracing lines and circles on the side of her arm.

“What about you, Seonghwa? Pepperoni or a lot of cheese on the pizza?” Munhee asks him, and he blinks, since he’d been distracted and lost the line of the conversation.

“What?”

She laughed, seeing he had been paying more attention at looking at Hyosonn than their chat.

“What do you prefer on a pizza?” Yunho murmurs, chuckling, too.

“Uuuumm, both, honestly. A lot of cheese with pepperoni on it,” Seonghwa answered, moving his foot side to side.

“True. Now I am hungry. Great.” Yunho groans.

Seonghwa laughed, actually feeling he can get along with the guy. He’s easy to like, with his goofiness and other things.

“Pizza in the morning…I would believe that you’d eat that,” Hyosonn mentions, snickering. “Remember on that year that we were on vacation, that you did?”

“Best breakfast, hell yeah.” Yunho replied, winking and rubbing his belly.

“Wouldn’t mind doing that one day,” Seonghwa murmurs, smiling with amusement.

“We can be friends, then. He’s cool, Hyosonn.” Yunho says with a grin, and the two guys shared a laugh.

“Yeah, he is cool. Among other things…” she said the last sentence under her breath. Her Dark Shades smirked, brushing his lips over her cheek.

“Oh, crap. I forgot to go to the library and search for that damn project we have in science class…ugh. Yunho, help me.” Munhee pleads, and he scowled.

“I am not exactly your guy for academic assistance. I hate that shit. I go because I am obligated, but my favorite subject is physical ed and lunch,” he complained, making the girls laugh.
