On the early hours of Tuesday, Hyosonn shot up in her bed, awakened by her cell phone ringing and vibrating at her night-table. She groans, groggily rubbing her eyes and reached for it, realizing it's Seonghwa. She had like four missed calls from him.

It's 3:15 in the morning, unless...oh my gosh, something happened! She frantically swipes the screen to answer.

"Sorry, Hwa, I was asleep..." she apologized hoarsely, hearing Seonghwa sniffling on the other line.

"I'm sorry, babe...I-I just...I had to call you..." he says in an uncharacteristic vulnerable voice that tore Hyosonn's heart in half.

"Talk to me, oppa. What happened?"

"She-she got so sick, and Nurse Ch-Choi managed to help halmeoni after the ho-horrible coughing attack she had...I thought we'd lo-lost her!" Seonghwa sobbed, and tears fell down the face of Hyosonn, too, hearing him suffering like this.

"I-is she resting now?"

"Ye-yeah. Hyosonn, this is crazy, but I need to see you, I need you so much! Please, please!"

It was hell of a risk, her mom will get so pissed if she discovers Seonghwa inside her room in the wee hours. But he's desperate and Hyosonn can't bear hearing him so inconsolable.

"Of course, baby. It'll have to be through my window, and I'll turn off the alarms until you go," she murmured, noting a deep sigh of relief over the line.

"Okay...I will be there in a few minutes. Thank you, Hyosonn. I don't know what I'd do without yo-you," he choked out.

"I'm glad to be there for you, too," she whispered.

"See you in a minute, baby."

"Byee."

Hyosonn hung up and exhaled, running her fingers through her messy bed-head hair. She glanced to the vanity mirror, the bright moon penetrating her thin curtains and illuminated the room, so she could see the disaster she looked.

Still drowsy, she quietly hopped out of bed, and ever so softly twists the doorknob to step out from her room. She tiptoes past her mother's bedroom and heads to the alarm control pad, deactivating it in no time at all. Then she goes into the bathroom to brush her teeth and wash her face, and returns to her own bedroom. She combed her hair to look somewhat decent, and sat in bed to wait for Seonghwa to arrive.

Hyosonn sung in a quiet voice Sweet Child of Mine when a light tapping noise on the window pane got her attention.

Hurriedly, she dragged the lavender purple curtains and unlocked the window to gently push it up. A ruffled, distraught Seonghwa climbed inside, wearing a long-sleeved grey shirt and black baggy pajama bottoms. He closed the window for her and instantly threw his arms around Hyosonn, his face against her neck. She held him as he burst into soft weeping, his body shaking while she rocked him in her embrace.

She kissed his mussed hair, and switches to stroking it, crooning words of comfort and attempting not to break down along with him.

Leading him to her bed, she pulls Seonghwa onto it and he laid on her chest, tangling himself at her side. Small whimpering sounds came from him, breaking Hyosonn's heart. Oh, how painful it was to see Seonghwa in pieces like this. She cried in his fragrant hair, continuing to whisper consolation.

He shuddered after he somewhat calms, clutching her like she's his lifeline and he'd get lost if he lets Hyosonn go. She tenderly kissed the visible part of his forehead, the only sounds inside the room were their breaths, Seonghwa's more audible and ragged.
