After they got back to the camp, they all began training for a month. It was Christmas now. Jack went in front of the small army that had formed to discuss an attack.
"Okay, I'm thinking that the archers should fight from the roof tops of the town," Jack said.
"And the swordsmen fight on the ground?" Coren asked.
"That's what I was thinking," Jack said as Felicity came up to him.
She gave him a kiss before whispering to him, "Zander is having a fit, perhaps you should talk to him?"
"Yes, I will. One second," he smiled, "Any other suggestions for an attack?"
"Where will we attack from?" a solder asked.
"Good question! We will attack from the south entrance and make our way to the town center," Jack said, "If you'll excuse me." He went to Zander, leaving Felicity in front of the army.
"Any words, m'lady?" Coren asked her.
She was thoughtful for a moment. "Do everything you can to protect one another. We don't wish to see any men fall," she said and had a faraway gaze.
"Something wrong?" Coren asked. Jack looked at her questionably.
"We should attack from here. It's the most reasonable," She said, feeling Jack behind her and she jumped.
"What makes you say that?" Jack whispered in her ear.
She turned around, "It's the most reasonable. They'll never expect it."
The enemy came into the camp and a battle erupted. "I think they expected it," Jack winked, "Go with Abel and take Zander." He gave her Zander and started to fight.
She found Abel, "Abel, let's go!" They went out of view of the fight.
Autumn fought by Jack. The amount of elves were countless. It seemed as if they kept coming without stop. After the third wave of elves did Jack see the King. He went after him, feeling the gaze of Felicity.
"Jack!" Felicity yelled, giving Zander to Abel. She ran through the crossfire, before seeing Jack and the King having a stare down. An elf tackled her to the ground. Autumn shot the elf on her and came over to Felicity.
"You okay mommy?" she asked.
"I'm fine," she said. "Jack!" she called, standing in between him and the king.
"Felicity! Go!" he said as the King stabbed her in her stomach. She fell to the ground. Jack began attacking the King angrily. "You have to do anything you can to hurt me!" Jack yelled at him.
Autumn ran over to Felicity, "Mommy! Are you okay?" Coren came and helped Autumn drag Felicity out of the battle. He then joined the battle again. "Mommy?" Autumn said again.
She put her hands over her stomach, feeling blood, forcing a smile. "I'm fine, Autumn," she said. "Go get mama a cloth please," she said, giving her a kiss on the forehead. Autumn ripped a piece of her dress and handed it to her.
"Mommy, I...I mean Beth taught me about wounds and to heal. I don't think you'll make it, and I don't think I can heal you," she sobbed.
Felicity began to stroke Autumn's hair. "Shhh," she cooed to her. Autumn still sobbed.
Jack was now on the ground, the King above him. "You will die Jack," he laughed.
"Jack!" Felicity screamed, attempting to stand, but stumbled. "Autumn, your bow! I need it, please," she begged.
Autumn got up and fought the King with her sword. Jack laid there for a moment. When he got up, Autumn had the King on the ground.
"Honey, you must decide what to do with him. He is your victory," Jack said to her.
Autumn looked at Jack, then the King. "You tried to kill my mother! You tried to behead my father! You will die!" She yelled and brought the sword down on his heart. The elves heard his cry and ran into the woods, never to be seen again.
Autumn and Jack ran back over to Felicity. "Can you heal her?" Jack asked Autumn.
"I can try," she said quietly, "I don't think it'll work though."
"Please try," Jack said quietly.
Autumn put her hands on her stomach and closed her eyes. The blood stopped coming out.
"Autumn, I think it worked," she said.
"It did, but you can't have anymore kids," she said, hugging her and Jack hugged the two of them.
"I think it's time to go home," Jack said after getting Zander. She stood and looked at Jack and then to Autumn and then to Zander. "I love you all my perfect little family," she smiled. "Abel, come over here," she said warmly. He came over as she kissed Jack.
