The ground shook as the young demigod rose
to his feet. The wind hauled in the night. The stars shone bright in the sky.

He was standing on the cold concrete. His ripped, bright orange tee shirt almost glowed in the dark. In his hand was a bronze sword.

His dark hair blew in the wind to reveal sea green eyes. They seemed darker than usual, like the ocean in a storm. His face was hard and cold.

"You," he said, his voice trembling with fury. The knuckles on his hand were white of holding the sword so tight.

"You did this." The monster in front of the man shook with fear, it's eyes fixated on the sword.

It had blood red eyes and flaming hair. One of it's legs were a donkey's leg, the other one made of bronze. It wore cheerleader clothes. In it's hands it held a sword of drakon bone.

"Pe-Percy?" Whispered another voice. It belonged to a girl, who was laying on the ground. Her blonde curly hair was all over the place. She was covered in mud and scratches from head to toe. Her eyes were slightly opened. They were grey and unfocused because of the pain.

The woman had an enormous stab wound in the stomach.

Percy immediatly returned to her side. He held her hand. The monster seemed to realize this was her best chance. She turned around and ran.

"Annabeth," the man cried. "Stay with me! We'll get some Ambrosia!"

"No ..." The girl mumbled. "It's too late." The son of Poseidon sobbed. "I love you, Seaweed Brain. I'll wait in Elysium." The boy tried to keep her awake. "No! Come on Wise Girl, I love you! Stay awake!"

He tossed a coin into the air, praying. "Oh Iris, goddess of the Rainbow, help! Please make a rainbow, so I can talk to Jason in Camp Halfblood!"

Strangely enough a rainbow formed and showed a boy, who was sitting around a campfire with some friends.

"Help, help!" Percy yelled. The boy and the others got to their feet. "Percy! What's happening?" The boy, Jason begun, but then a girl with choppy brown hair interupted. "Oh my gods," she said. All the teens gasped in horror as they saw the lifeless body of their friend.

"The street with the ice café," Percy shouted and cut through the image.

Seconds later a pale boy arrived with a group of teenagers. They seemed to go right out of the shadows.

"Let me see!" Demanded a blond boy. Percy clung to his girlfriend, not moving an inch. "Percy, you'll let Will see," the girl with the brown hair said. Percy moved.

Will checked for pulse. It was faint and almost gone. "Nectar!" He demanded. A boy with curly hair and a toolbelt got a bottle and bandages from his belt.

Will poured the honeycolored liquid over the Annabeth's wound. She let the smallest sigh of relief out when the pain eased. Will cleaned the wound and gasped.

The blade had almost impaled the blonde girl and several organs where badly damaged. "I need help. Get me my siblings!"

"Why not move her instead?" Jason asked. "She can't be moved. She has already lost too much blood. Moving her would kill her. Now get them!"

The pale boy disapeared. "We need more nectar if she shall have a chance."

The boy with the toolbelt found another bottle. Will poured in Annabeth's mouth.

After a moment the pale boy was back with several other kids. All of them ran to the dying demigod. Some of them helped Will cleaning the wound, some had brought a flash light and some of them began singing.

The song seemed to ease Annabeth's breathing and her pulse got more regular.
Piper, the brunette, Leo, the toolbelt guy, Jason and Percy watched with dark expressions on their faces. Nico, the pale guy, had passed out on the dirt, something Will would normally notice instantly.

"Piper, sing with them!" Will commanded. Piper didn't even question it. She sat down and began singing beautifully. Although she had no healing powers, her song was like charmspeak, a thousand times stronger. She asked Annabeth to fight for her life and not give in. This was like a spark of energy to everyone else as well.

Jason suddently noticed the unconcious son of Hades om the ground and went to help him. He poured some left over nectar in his mouth and within a minute of magic song and food Nico woke up.

"Percy?" Piper asked carefully. Her voice was dry and raspy from the singing. "I thought ... The blood control thing could maybe help her." She went back to singing, but Percy understood. He kneeled besides his girlfriend and did the one whing he had promised her to never do again.

He controlled her blood.

None of them had count of time. It could have taken hours or seconds, time was meaningless while Annabeth struggled to keep herself alive. "Please, Wise Girl," Percy begged.

Annabeth opened her eyes slightly as a reaction to his voice. "Percy," she whispered. Then she closed her grey eyes again. Percy's hands flew to her neck to check for pulse, but this time there was none. Her heartbeat had disapeared. And with that his life.

Left was only 12 demigods in the cold night, staring at the woman between them.
