"Do you still want to go out?" Wooyoung asked San who had gone back to bed, staring at the ceiling in utter silence. The brunette didn't answer, per usual. After breakfast he had been in a good mood for quite some time, watching a movie with Wooyoung who had him sitting on his lap. All had been well until San suddenly had a mood shift and got up, walking straight into his room, leaving a confused Wooyoung on the couch. He had imminently turned off the movie, shooting up from the couch to see what was going on. The brunette looked at him, thinking for a few seconds before nodding his head. "Yeah, just let me go get ready" He mumbled, his voice empty and exhausted.

It hurt Wooyoung to know that he couldn't help him, that he didn't know how to. All he knew how to do is be there and take care of him. He wished he could do so much more than just be there, he wish he could drag him out of whatever emotional hole he has fallen into. He is sick of watching his boyfriend wither away like a fallen leaf during autumn. He missed the times they were at the top of the world, smiling and laughing everyday, now, it's like they're at a cliff and he's struggling to hold an unconscious San's hand as he's dangling from it. San had entered the bathroom, only using a few minutes before stepping out in his wetsuit, wanting to stay warm in the cold water.

The two got ready and grabbed their surf boards, walking out to the balcony and down the stairs that lead to the ocean from behind their house. Wooyoung has worked hard to get a house like this one, wanting to live in his and San's dream house. Lucky, he stumbled upon this beautiful house one day, immediately putting up an offer. It's not like he's short on money so if there were any problems he would be more than happy to spend some if it meant that he would make Sans dream about living next to the ocean come true.

They walked down to the small dock, laying their towels down before getting into the water. "The waves are big today, so be careful" Wooyung said, helping San through the waves that we're almost pulling him under from their strength alone. The brunette nodded and looked out over the water, getting ready to jump onto the board. He could feel himself struggling to stand straight once Wooyoung let go of his arm, feeling himself almost floating away.

He got up on the board and started paddling, standing up on the board proving to be difficult due to the long time since he last went out surfing. He immediately fell over, his head coming up from the water only seconds later. Wooyoung chuckled, walking over to remove the older's hair out of his face. "Everything okay?" He asked, smiling brightly. San nodded. They continued getting on their surfboards again and again, enjoying a day outside. San felt so free being outside, the way the breeze would hit him in the face made him feel so free.

"Sannie, should we go inside? The waves are picking up, I think a storm is coming" Wooyung called, already on his way back to the dock. "Okay, I'll just go one last time!" San answered, going out further into the ocean in hope that he would catch a wave quicker. "I don't think that's a good idea! The waves are strong enough as they are!" Wooyoung protested, watching with a sharp gaze as the brunette swam further away. "What's the worst that would happen? I have experience with strong waves form before!" San insisted.

Like the worried blonde on the dock had said, the waves had gotten a lot bigger, the sky darkening with heavy clouds. San however didn't mind, he just wants to go one last time, knowing that he most likely won't go out of the house in awhile once he first got inside. He saw a wave building up, getting into position to push himself up on the board.

Then, he felt cold. He didn't understand what happened, it was so quick. One second he is ready to get up on the surfboard, the next he's suddenly underwater, fumbling his limbs around. He tried to open his eyes, but his vision was blurred and the coldness of the water made his eyes sting. He was panicking as he felt his lungs fill up with water. He didn't think the waves would get big so quickly, he thought he would have time to react, time to back away if something happened, but the wave had went over his head, sending him under. He tried to swim up, but his panicking brain made it impossible to react. He wanted to scream, his chest was on fire, he could feel the drift around him and the waves moving on the surface, yet he couldn't get up over it.

He couldn't think, he was just panicking. This is not how he wanted to die. Black spots started to appear in his vision when two arms warped around him, pulling him upwards. He took a big gulp of air once he finally resurfaced, coughing up water while he gripped onto the other person's shoulders. "WHAT DID I TELL YOU! I SAID THAT IT WASN'T A GOOD IDEA!" Wooyoung shouted, shaking the older male, his voice containing nothing but worry, anger and relief. "Are you trying to get yourself killed?" He sighed, holding onto a crying San tightly while slowly dragging both him and his surfboard back to shore.

San continued to cough and cry as they made their way back inside, feeling his head pound due to the lack oxygen in his system. "You scared the shit out of me" Wooyoung said and ran a hand through his hair, water dripping onto the floor from the wet strands. San didn't say anything as he kept his gaze on the floor. 'Good job, you can't even go outside for a few hours without burdening others'.

Wooyoung sighed and engulfed San in a tight hug, willing to let him cry on his shoulder for as long as he needs.
