Fireflies are just fairy's

11. Maybe

Cathy POV
I open it to reveal a beautiful painting, there were fireflies everywhere on the canvas and there trees and fairies all around the canvas. I look at Jane, "oh my gosh, Jane this is awesome." I say and there was something taped on the back of the canvas, I turn it over and grab the envelope.

Dear Cathy,

I can't write, so this is gonna be bad, so I'm sorry I'm advance. There's something about you that makes me incredibly happy and I feel like I could be around you forever. And, when I hold you it feels like I'm carrying the world, or at least a small piece of it.

"Jane I'm not that short"

"Cathy you're short, just finish reading the letter so I can stop being nervous." Jane says and I continue to read it,

I want to be with you, and I get it you don't want to, that's okay, I'll be okay. I just wanted you to know.

- Jane

I look at her and she looks away, she just confessed that she liked me.

"I-I think I-I like you too." I say and she looks at me shocked

"Really?" She asks and I nod, I walk towards her and hug her. She wraps her arms around me, I snuggle my head into her neck and she runs my back. "Wanna just stay up here?" She asks and I nod

"Yeah." I mumble into her neck, she pulls out her phone and headphones.

"Wanna watch something?" She asks and I nod, I stop hugging her and she lays on the bed, I lay down next to her and she starts The Lion King. She slowly brings her hand to my arm and starts drawing patterns on it, I can't believe she confessed to liking me. "Do you wanna go on a date, maybe next week on Friday?" She asks and I turn over to face her, I nod my head.

"I'd like that." I mumble and she smiles, I move closer to her and lay my head on her chest and close my eyes, I listen to her hum the songs quietly and let sleep take over me.

Jane POV
I rub Cathys back softly and she smiles in her sleep. I can't believe she likes me back, I never thought that she'd like me. I stop rubbing her back and she whines in her sleep, I start doing it again and she moves a little bit. I wrap my arms around her and close my eyes, Cathy was still smiling in her sleep. I close my eyes and shut off my phone, I set my phone and headphones on the nightstand and fall asleep.

1 hour later

Margery (Jane Mom) POV
I walk around the house looking for Jane and Cathy, I couldn't find them anywhere. We were getting ready to leave, I walk downstairs and saw Thomas playing on his phone, "Thomas, have you seen Cathy or Jane?" I ask and he shakes his head,

"They hate me, and I hate them." He says,

"Don't say that about your sister. Come on, we're getting ready to leave." I say and he stands up and walks upstairs, there was only one room I hadn't checked which was the guest bedroom. I open the door and saw Jane and Cathy cuddling and sleeping, I pull my phone out and take a picture.

Operation Ship

Mom: *picture of Cathy and Jane sleeping* Operation 63 rainbow was a success.

Edward: WHERE ARE YOU?! I NEED TO SEE THIS!!

Elizabeth: me too me too!

Mom: upstairs, second door down on the right

I hear footsteps running up the stairs and Elizabeth and Edward run in, Edward had a camera with him. He moves so that he can get a picture,

"Jane is going to thank me for this when she graduates high school when we make her poster board for the graduation partyyy." He whispers, "and that's five different pictureees. Elizabeth get over hereee." Edward says and Elizabeth walks over with her phone.

"Janes gonna kill is for having these pictureees." Elizabeth whispers,

"I knowwww" Edward whispers back,

"There's a picture to my other ship grouppp"

"And that's all we need, good byeeee." Edward says and they both walk out, I walk towards Jane and I move Janes hair out of her face. She pushes my hand away,

"Stop, I'm cuddling with Cathy." She mumbles sleepily,

"Love, it's time to go home so why don't you wake up Cathy." I say and she looks at me

"You're mean to me." She says and I nod,

"Hurry up." I say and Jane sighs and I walk out.

Jane POV
I start to rub Cathys back and she stretches with her eyes closed. "Yeah?" She asks

"We have to go." I say,

"But I don't wanna go," she says looking at me with tired eyes, "I wanna get more cuddles." She says and I sit up, she whines, "Janeee" she whines and I grab her hands and pull her up.

"If you get up, maybe I can go to your house or you can come to mine." I say and she smiles,

"Okay." She says and I giggle,

"You're so cute when you're tired" I say and she blushes, she gets off the bed and grabs the painting and I grab my stuff.

At Cathy house
I walked with Cathy to her front door, "I'll see you tomorrow," I say and she smiles,

"Okay," she says and I hold out my arms and she hugs me. She pulls away from the hug, "bye Janey." She says, and so raise an eyebrow

"Janey?" I ask

"What? I like it and I'm gonna calm you Janey from now on." She says and I smile,

"Only you can Cathy." I say and she nods,

"Bye." She says and walks into her house, I walk back to the car and Elizabeth and Edward move to sit down next to me,

"So, what are you and Ms. Cathy Parr?" Edward asks and I sigh,

"You guys get to excited when it comes to shipping people." I say and they nod.

Random Fact: My mom says I used to watch finding Nemo all day everyday when I was a baby and would cry when it stopped.
