Jane POV
"Mama! Fireflies!" Kat exclaims and I giggle as she looks out the window, "can we watch them?!" Kat exclaims and I nod.
"Sure buba," I say and open the door to the back yard. Kat runs out the door with Anne close behind her, I laugh as their smiles grow bigger by the second. "Be careful! I don't want you guys to fall!" I exclaim and Kat gives me a thumbs up.
A few minutes later
I giggle watching Kat chase a firefly. "Mommy!" Kat exclaims and runs to me,
"What?" I ask,
"Why do fireflies glow?" She asks and I smile remembering the little lie my mom told me as a kid.
"Alright come here, you too Annie!" I exclaim and Anne runs over. Anne stands in front of me while Kat sits down next to me on the swinging chair thing we have. "I'm gonna tell you both but neither of you can tell anyone," I say and they both nod.
"Okay!" They both say and I smile,
"Y'know how fairies glow?" I ask tans they both nod, "and that's the reason why fireflies glow. Because they're fairies in hiding." I say and Kat gasps,
"Fireflies are what?!" She exclaims and I nod, Anne looks at me confused.
"Why are they hiding?" Anne asks,
"People tried you hurt fairies so they had to hide, so that they didn't get hurt. Which is why you can't tell anyone." I say and Anne nods, "both of you have fairies y'know?" I ask and they both shake their heads. "Well you do, and they're the one you're meant to spend the rest of your life with." I say and Anne smiles,
"Do you have one?" Anne asks and I frown,
"I thought I did, but they did something that made me think that I'll never have one." I say and Anne frowns and Kat hugs me.
"If we have one then you have one too Mommy." Kat whispers and I smile, I pull her into my lap and kiss her head.
"Yeah! And, I bet your fairy's gonna be the best fairy out of all the fairies in the entire galaxy!" Anne exclaims and I giggle ruffling her hair,
"Thanks guys." I say and they nod,
"I'm gonna go catch a firefly!" Kat exclaims and hops down,
"No! You can't then they're gonna hide again!" Anne exclaims chasing after Kat. But soon she just ended up helping Kat.
10 minutes later
I hold Anne and put her hands under the water as she cries. "Hey, hey it's okay." I whisper in her ear and she cries more,
"I killed I fairy! It could have been tinker belle!" She says still crying.
"But it wasn't! Because Tinker belle is a very special fairy! And, she stays back at the workshop!" I exclaim and I turn the faucet off and grab a towel,
"With Santa?" She asks and I shrug,
"I'm not sure."
"With periwinkle?" She asks and I shrug,
"Maybe." I say and dry her hands off, "you better now?" I ask and she wipes away her tears,
"I feel bad." She mumbles and I give her a small smile,
"It's okay buba." I say and Kat smiles,
"Yeah! Maybe it was one of the bad fairies!" Kat exclaims and Anne looks confused,
"There are bad fairies?" Anne asks and I nod, my mind immediately thinking back to Henry.
"Yeah. There was this boy named Henry when I still went to school and he was such a butt head."
"Mommy! Mimi said that's a bad word!" Kat exclaims and Anne nods,
"Mimi said that only she can use that word." Anne says and I roll my eyes,
"Whatever. Anyway, let's get you two to bed." I say and Anne nods, I help her off the counter and they both run upstairs and I smile.
It feels like I have the perfect family except I'm just missing something.

Random Fact: I HAVING SLEEPOVER AT MY GRANDMA AND GRANDPAS WIT ME COUSIN SO WR CHILLING EVEN THOUGH WE SHOULD BE SLEEPING!
