33. Date night

Jane POV
I knock on Cathys door and the door opens to reveal her mom. "Hi Jane," she says and I wave.

"Hi Ms.Green," I say and Cathy runs over.

"Mom I said I could have gotten it! Hi Jane." She says and I smile,

"Hi Cathy." I say and Mae runs over, Cathy kisses Maes head,

"Alright Mae-Mae, be a good girl for Nana." Cathy says and Mae nods,

"Bye Mama! Bye Janey!" Mae exclaims and waves, I smile and Cathy smiles and we walks to the car.

"You look pretty," she says and I smile.

"Thanks. Kat actually helped me pick the outfit out." I say and Cathy giggles as I open her door,

"Thank you." She says and I nod and shut the door and walk over to the other side. "So where are we going?" She asks and I smile,

"Surprise, but I'm hoping you'll remember where we are once we get there." I say and she smiles.

At Janes spot
I smile and Cathy makes an o-shaped face. "Your spot?" She asks and I nod, she squeals and takes the box, "are there jars in here?" She asks and I nod,

"Yeah." I say and she smiles as we start to walk up the rocks with me helping her along the way.

I smile and me and Cathy walk towards my spot and I open the door. "Just like I remember," she mumbles and I smile, "I see you've added more paintings." She says and sets the box down as she walks over to look at some of the newer ones.

"Yeah, I just come here when the kids aren't with me." I say and she smiles,

"I missed coming here y'know." She mumbles and I smile,

"We were here at least 60% of the time when we were high school." I say and she smiles when I sit down, I grab the box and open it.

"So what are we doing?" She asks and I smile,

"I figured we could paint the mason jars, maybe catch some fireflies, take a couple pictures so that Edward doesn't kill me-" I get cut off by Cathys giggling and I blush, "-and then we can let them go and just talk." I say and she smiles and sits down next to me,

"Sounds perfect." She says and I smile.

1 hour later
I giggle as Cathy fails yet again to catch a firefly. "Why is this so hard?!" She exclaims and I giggle and walk behind her.

"Give me your jar," I say and she hands it to and I lean my chin on her shoulder as a firefly flies right in front of us, I smile and quickly pull the lid off and catch the firefly.

"I've literally been trying to do that for 25 minutes and you did it in one go." She says and I giggle, she takes the jar and I pull out my phone and take a picture of her and she covers her eyes. "Why did you turn the flash on?" She asks and I smile,

"So I could actually see you in the picture dumb-dumb." I say and she shoves me playfully,

"Says you!" She exclaims and I glare at her,

"Are you calling me a dumb-dumb?" I ask and she nods,

"Yeah, yeah I am." She says and I smirk before setting my phone and my jar down.

"I could attack you right now-"

"But you're not going too." She says and I giggle and hug her.

"No, I'm not gonna attack you." I say and she smiles,

"Good." She says and I let go of her and walk back inside the thing.

BACK TO CATHYS HOUSE WE GO
"Hey Cathy," I say before she walks inside.

"Yeah?" She asks and I smile,

"I had a really great time." I whisper and she smiles,

"So did I." She says and I quickly kiss her cheek and she blushes.

"Night Cathy," I say and she opens the door.

"Goodnight Jane," she says and walks inside, I could hear her squeals form inside which made me smile.

REEEEEEEEE! So iz corn and it's almost 11:30 pm where I am so I am sleepy and imma go to sleepppp.
