"SEE? I knew you can pull this off! Kahit kailan, my instincts never betrayed me," Alana happily said. The three of us walk through the school gate as we head home. Manong guard really waited for us, even though the turning off the lights were scheduled at 8 pm.
The street lights paved our way and the noise of grasshoppers accompanied us throughout the evening. We still have to walk for three minutes before we reached the main road. Wala nang nakaparkeng tricycle dito. We don't have another option but to get on a jeep.
Natanggal rin ang mabigat na loob na matagal ko ng dinadala. Kung hindi sinabi ni manong 'yong tip sa pag-babackflip, hindi ko rin makukuha.
Hindi ko nanaman maiwasan hindi tumingin sa langit. Maraming kumikinang na bintuin ngayon gabi. Sabi nga nila makikita mo lang ito pag nasa probinsya ka. Totoo nga.

"Cora, darling. Nasend mo na ba kay Mike 'yong vid ni Astrid? Ikaw lang kasi may data sa atin, eh," banggit ni Alana.
"Kanina pa," mataray na sagot ni Cora. Base sa tono ng kanyang boses, parang ayaw niyang kausapin namin siya.
"Sungit mo talaga, kahit kailan." I saw Alana's pouted lips. I admit, it doesn't suit her.
"I'm just exhausted, dear," Cora quickly replied. She inhales deeply and sighed after. Kanina pa nito gusto umuwi, but she stayed.
"How's the competition?" Lumaki ang mga mata ko nang sambitin iyan ni Alana. Napatingin ako agad sa direksyon niya.
Si Felipe ba ang kausap niya sa cellphone?
Binalik ko nalang ang tingin ko sa unahan. Hindi ko na ito pinansin.
"1st place isn't that bad. May K-pop Star 2016 pa naman," sagot ni Alana sa kabilang linya.
Tama si Alana. Biruin mo, out of 32 cover groups, nakakuha pa sila ng place sa National K-pop Competition. Kahit kakaunting araw ang nakalaan sa practice nila, nakakakuha pa rin sila ng place.
Bumalik ang tingin ko kay Alana.
"Pakisabi, Congrats—"
"Nakita mo rin, Felip?" Alana's eyes went big and her jaw dropped. Then, she looked at me.
