As I stand here with you to demand justice and peace,
I realize that it's them and not me who will get shot by police
just because they protest for their rights and life
as there's yet another widow instead of a wife.
I listen and try to learn,
that this is the kind of concern
you deal with every second you step out of your door
even if you just buy a new book or go to the drugstore.
I will never now how you really feel
and that some wounds will never really heal
but I will stand here with you to demand justice and peace
so you will not be shot by racists and the police.
