"if you are tired Mark you could go rest" your dad says.
"I'm alright thanks" he says, standing beside you.
You look up at him.
"ill be okay" you reassure him.
Your dad smiles and nods at him before going into the living room.
"ill be okay, you can go to sleep" you smile.
He leads you to the bottom of the stairs.
"but?"
"I will be fine, my families here"
"I don't want to leave you alone"
"I'm not alone though"
"I know I just...i don't like leaving your side"
You hug him.
"im safe here, I will be upstairs in a bit"
"I will be with her" Owen says, walking down the stairs.
Dark looks up at him, disgust in his eyes.
"I have protected her her whole life" Owen says.
"see i will be okay" you smile.
You step away from him, your hand slipping from his.
He leans and pulls you back to him, kissing your forehead.
"Stay safe"
"I will" you say.
"goodnight" you smile.
"goodnight" he says, walking up the stairs.
