The girls sat down and unwrapped their arms and legs from the thick materials that were protecting them, Lynx doing the same while Emrys is getting some asthma medication from Dr Yves, the team didn't know until now that he had slight asthma.
Lynx: You should've told us and stay here Emrys, you have asthma for god sake.
Emrys: It's fine, I wanted to help too and I know I can manage the asthma part since is not that bad.
Genesis: But still, something could've happened.
Dr Yves: Yea, I agree.
Sydney: Everything okay with them?
Ocean: Yes, Lincoln just got the cure. They're heading back.
Genesis: Okay good.
At the vault...
Lincoln: Done! (Takes sample out) let's go now.
Dr Ares: Alright. Where do we walk now Smith?
Dr Smith: Walk straight and turn left, you'll see the emergency exit.
They walked straight and turned as told, they then entered the exit quietly. Knox checked for zombies, they were none for now.
Dr Smith: Alright, head one stairs down and go through the door that say East wing. Then walk straight to the end you'll see a door then-
Knox: Hello? I can't hear you-
Dr Ares: We're at the emergency exits, signals bad.
Lincoln: We'll follow whatever she told us and improvise.
They walked and walked, finally they saw the door towards South wing. They go through the door, little did they know there were a bunch of them waiting for them.
Dr Smith: No there's too many of them, don't go there!
Knox opened the door slowly to check, there were loads of them inside. He immediately closed the door softly and told the two of them what he saw. All of a sudden a zombie from the stairs appeared behind Lincoln without anyone noticing, it bit into Lincoln's left arm. It was too late when Dr Ares and Knox noticed the zombie, Lincoln has been bitten and it was slowly affecting him.
Lincoln: Gosh it hurts (Whisper shouts) Please, I don't want to turn into one of them.
Knox: You won't (panics)
Dr Ares hastily took out some syringes that was filled with some sort of liquid, he took Lincoln's arm quickly and inject it into his arm.
Dr Ares: Stay still (while he injects something into Lincolns arm) this would buy us some time. We have 10 minutes, we pass this exit we'll reach the safe zone in 3 minutes.
Lincoln: But they're a bunch of them there. (Says weakly)
Knox: (looks at his bracelet)
Lincoln: Should we go another way?
Dr Ares: No, you won't survive. This is the fastest way to get you back.
Knox: We'll have to go pass this bunch then. (Looks at them seriosuly)
Lincoln: It's too much for us to fight Knox or perhaps, too much for you alone. (Looking at him with panic eyes)
Knox: And we can't let you die.
Dr Ares: Knox, we don't have much time-
Knox: (thoughts to himself, "come on, you know you can do it, you've done it 20 years ago")
