Knox: Who the hell are you? (Slightly annoyed)
??: Now no need to be so impolite, I'm just here for something, important. I need to get it before-
Dr Ares: Aric?!
Aric: Oh hello there Ares, pleasure to meet you, again. (evil glint in his eyes)
Dr Ares: Why are you still here. (Tone changes)
Aric: I'm here to get what I need, what you guys are getting out of the vault precisely.
Lincoln: We're do- , who are you?
Aric: I see you've got the samples out, perfect. Now hand it over and I will leave you all unharmed. (While taking out his sword)
Genesis: Why should we, it's 10 against 1, we could just kill-
Aric: Well, well. Who do we have here, ah I see. Genesis is it? How's your parents (Laughs mockingly)
Genesis: (Shock) You, who are you-
Aric: Oh me? (Smirks) I was the one who (pauses dramatically) killed both. of. them.
Genesis: (Too shock to say anything)
Crystal: You bastard!
Genesis ran towards the man and lighted up her bracelet while Crystal joined here while activating her RS-21, for once Aric looked slightly stunned by Crystal's action but was quick to compose himself. As Genesis light was about to touch Aric, something stopped her from doing so causing her to stumble back to her friends, Crystal was repelled by the force too but quickly got up and helped Genesis. Forcefield power, Genesis though to herself.
Aric: Weak, just like your father. (He spatted)
Dr Ares: Enough Aric, what makes you think that we won't kill you.
Aric: (Smirks) Are you sure Ares, check your case. It might surprise you.
Dr Ares opened the case and saw that it wasn't the real vial of vaccine, it looks like it but it wasn't.
Aric: I switched it before anyone could get it you see (while holding the real vial). I was waiting for you all to get the case and make your way towards the samples, I was there in the room when you all happily got the case and loudly announce to where you were going. Not going to lie it was almost going to be the happy ending you guys predicted, get the vaccine, get the samples and boom, saved the earth but (Pauses dramatically) little did you know that I was here the whole time.
Dr Ares: My sister sent you here didn't she. (Getting mad slowly)
Aric: Bingo! (Claps) She knew that you don't have your powers with you and they are just kids so it'll be easy to get it-
Crystal: Cut the crap bastard, you're not getting-
The team was shocked that Crystal was confronting this weird man that wanted samples for Dr Ares's sister.
Aric: I could kill you if I want to girl, give me the samples or I'll drop this right here, you only have one vial of the vaccine and it would take ages to get the vaccine to flow outside. (Smiles evilly at them)
No one knew what to do at this point, not even Dr Ares. However, nobody noticed that Knox was really quiet the whole time, not even Genesis as she was still very stunned about the whole situation. Knox was so focused on the words of Aric "I was the one who killed them" and Genesis's shocked and heartbroken face. He knew Genesis was hurting all along as he could feel it physically in him, that's it he said to himself and something in him snapped.
