In the practice room, Wang Yibo silently sat on the bed letting the person in white tend his wounds.

"Why have you been avoiding me for the past few days?" She asked as she started to clean the wound. The bleeding had long since stopped but her heart still churned looking at the bright red covering her love's hands.

"I did not... the work..." Wang Yibo tried to justify his act of running away in that situation.

"Don't lie. I haven't seen you since that day. Towards senior, I do not have any feelings. We have studied together for years. We are just friends." She said before throwing the last cotton ball covered in blood into the tray.

"I know. I just.. I.." Wang Yibo was left so speechless for the first time in life. He had clearly seen the love in her dark orbs as if there was no other person in her eyes. Yet, what left him so speechless was not her love, but her efforts to clear that small misunderstanding which did not count as a misunderstanding as Wang Yibo very well knew about the actuality of her relationship with Dr Jing.

"I am sorry. Next time—"

"You do not have to promise me something which you are never going to accomplish. I am fine being—"

"Good. Let's go for dinner tonight."

"Sure"

"I would call for a day off tomorrow and be with you." Wang Yibo whispered before taking his phone out to ask for a leave. Yet, before he could unlock his phone, a sharp groan left his mouth as Chen Xiao applied the ointment.

"Why are you hissing now? did you not know that it would hurt when—"

"It hurts—ah"

"I cannot be gentler than this." She said as he blew on the wound before slowly spreading the ointment.

Once done with covering the wound, she sighed before walking towards her table. Wang Yibo followed but did not take the chair opposite to her. Instead, he walked around and sat on the table. She turned her chair slightly to face the person sitting on the table beside her chair.

As she raised her eyes to look at him, she found his eyes were already gazing at her. She smiled at their proximity. Wang Yibo's lips curled slightly as he asked, "Does Dr Chen has any advice on the diet or medicine I should take after this?"

The playful smile on Wang Yibo's lips attracted her like a moth to a flame. She raised her arm and Wang Yibo without any doubt pulled her in front of him. As she stood between his open legs, he silently held her waist. She answered, "What is this officer blabbering about? Aren't those small wounds for a very sturdy body?"

"I know I was wrong. Please forgive me" Wang Yibo apologized without any hint of guilt in his tone. She tsk-ed twice before wrapping her arms around his nape. "Compensation?"

"Treating to a dinner. Place on you." Wang Yibo agreed quickly as if he had expected this coming at him randomly as soon as he meet her.

"I want to drink." She demanded, and Wang Yibo immediately denied sternly, "No."

"Okay," she agreed before retracting her hands from the other's nape.

However, things did not go as planned. Wang Yibo was stuck in the police station for interrogation. The so-called thief was secretly in contact with the drug dealer. The camera in the interrogation room was turned off and no one was monitoring them. Captain Liu who knew the position of Wang Yibo, agreed to let him interrogate the key person without any monitoring.

Wang Yibo sat calmly in the chair placed opposite to the thief. He scrolled through the profile of the criminal which was kept on the table. "I am asking again. What's your name?" he demanded.
