Sitting on the couches placed in the living area, Surgeon's mother and Wang Yibo were exchanging words with each other when Sean entered in his formals. The Doctor was ready to head out when his mother's gaze fell onto him.
(Eng) "Baby, are you taking him with you?" She enquired, as it wasn't even 10min since he brought this person home. She had lots to ask, lots to say, but if her son takes this person with him, she may not be able to discuss something important.
(Eng) "Do you wanna keep him with you? Wasn't I enough already that you need one more son?" Surgeon pouts like a three year old. Their relationship was always this friendly. His parents were his best friends. They had created the ambience where Surgeon could freely talk his heart out. The Sean they had raised was cheerful, but not to this extent. Something has changed him for the past few days. The past Sean had his routine life-the same hospital to home and home to hospital. Beyond that, he never stepped out, never took any leaves, and more importantly he always seemed to search for someone silently. But this Sean not only reached hospital late, even took a day off, went in crowded places alone-this sudden things left her in a pit of dilemma.
(Eng) "Don't be like this baby, of course mum loves you. It's just.. I met someone from China after so long." She decided to slide her thoughts past and wait for some more days to figure the things out.
(Eng) "Okay then, ask if he wants to accompany you. If not, then I'll drop him off at his hotel before heading to the hospital." Suggests Surgeon. Though he knows his mother won't keep the lad here.
But before his mother could speak, Wang Yibo spoke up, (Chinese) "No aunty, I have work to be taken care of. I will surely visit you before going back."
(Chinese) "Okay then. Don't forget to visit back," she said with a dejected voice.
"Don't wait for me tonight. I'll have my dinner outside." the surgeon informs his mother. And his mother turned around to look at the handsome man.
"Not with him mum! I'll tell you about her later. Now I need to hurry up." Sean grinned looking at her mother. He knew the meaning of that gaze she threw on Wang Yibo. But last night he had already promised the lady to treat her to a meal.
"Date?" His mother inquired, and he winked before gesturing to the Agent to follow him. Wang Yibo who had been listening to this conversation moulded his hurt into a poker face. This wasn't his Zhan to begin with, he reminded himself of the same. Yet, he still couldn't forbid his heart from getting hurt. Strangely enough, this person was as capable as his Zhan to evoke his raw emotions.
"Have you been on a date before?" Sean asked as they entered his car. The reason behind the question was simple, he hadn't been on any date and he was excited about tonight.
