7. Pain is pleasure

When I woke up I initially wanted to cry, because you know, that's what I always do. But I remember our awful and evil deed we had done to Hyunjin and Minho, and I smiled. Smiled a lot, smiled like a complete psychopath.
I like hurting people.

I stood up energetically. Last night I felt relieved while walking back home. Even though I was kind of forced to kiss Minho by Changbin, I didn't mind. I got to see Minho suffer, and that made me happy. Now I wanna see Hyunjin suffer.

I started following my morning routine. It consisted of waking up, crying (this time I skipped this part), not eating, quickly packing in my stuff for university, thinking about if I even should go to university because it has no use, and then after 30 minutes of doubting my will to live finally going outside.

I walked in a rather fast pace compared to how fast I usually walk. That's probably because I was excited to see Hyunjin. Very excited to see Hyunjin.

When I arrived I was searching for him. He had better not stayed home.
I walked inside and walked into the classroom. I still hadn't seen Hyunjin.

I started to get worried, 2 hours later it was lunchtime but I already started to assume Hyunjin had stayed home.
But I was wrong.

I went to the bathroom and confronted him, crying.

He saw me, laughing.

Someone else's pain makes me feel satisfied, it's almost as good as love. Almost.

I wanted more.

I walked out of the bathroom, smiling. Our mission is accomplished.

Later that day, when I came out of the building, I saw Changbin standing outside, waiting for me. He had called me a few hours ago. Our conversation was very vague, and I didn't know what we were going to do.

"Ah, there you are, Felix."
He walked in my direction, but this time there was something off. This didn't look normal, is there something wrong with him? He didn't look or gave off the vibe of his usual self.

He...smiled. Genuinely. To me.
But I ignored my uneasiness, I smiled back and said to him:

"Hey, Changbin!"
He stopped in front of me and put his hands in his pockets.
"Have you seen Hyunjin?"
"Yes, it was hilarious."
I giggled and Changbin laughed too, looking at the ground and then at me again.
"I assume you haven't seen Minho, though."
"No I haven't seen him indeed, have you seen him?"
"No, Jeongin told me that he stayed home today. Apparently his fight with Hyunjin affected him a lot."
"Oh, they had a fight?"
"Of course they had a fight after I sent the video to Hyunjin."
"Ah yeah haha, by the way, how does Jeongin know Minho?"
"They're actually friends. 'Friends'."
"Oh I see, so, what are we gonna do now?"
"Go to my place."
"Okay."
He turned around and we walked to the bus station.

20 minutes later we arrived at his place. I entered the familiar home and I sat down on his soft sofa.
He came to sit next to me.

"Felix, Hyunjin has hurt you pretty bad, huh?"
"Y-Yes, why?"
"I can see it."
I didn't know what to say, or what he meant. Do I look that bad?
"But don't worry. We will hurt him even more."
I smiled again, remembering we're still not done torturing Hyunjin.
"What are we gonna do this time?"
He paused for a bit and said:
"Tell me one of Hyunjin's greatest secrets."
I was confused and asked:
"Why?"
"It's part of the plan."
I thought of a secret that he had told me in the last 10 years that I had known him. He used to tell me a lot, a lot about himself, how he felt, his problems etcetera. I told him mine too, because I thought I could trust him.
I thought I could.

"He told me he used to bully his stepbrother because of his appearance."
"I see. Do you know his stepbrother?"
"No. Hyunjin only told me about him but I've never seen or spoken to him."
"Are there any details about this?"
"Well apparently he and his stepbrother grew apart from each other because of this. They don't talk to each other anymore, at least, that's what Hyunjin told me."

Changbin kept silent, until I spoke up:
"So, what are you gonna do with this information?"
Changbin looked at me again after staring at the floor for a moment, and answered:
"I'm gonna post it on social media."

After 30 minutes we had discussed our exact plan, and we both agreed that Hyunjin will suffer a lot from this, since his 'perfect' reputation will be ruined.

Changbin told me to continue my usual days at university and we will discuss more plans after a week, and I was okay with that.

Changbin walked me home this time, and today we talked more than usual. Normally it would be quiet and awkward, but this time we spoke about numerous things.

When I arrived at my home and wanted to enter, Changbin asked me one last thing, which made me feel flustered.
"Felix, shall we eat something together one time?"
