Harper closed her eyes as she tried to thrash out of the hard grip. It felt like every bone she had was being cracked. Harper didn't know what was holding her to the wall.  Chapa thrashed in her Moms grip. She wheezed as she watched her Mom go on about how she has been awful. Harper then remembered an important thing. Her watches emergency alert button. Harper reaches down, but it was just out of her reach. Harper wiggles in Chapas Dads grip harder and Harder.
"Let Chapa go!"
Harper screamed. Her Mother only held her grip on Chapa tighter.
"What are you going to do? Call your Mommy?"
Harper started crying as she trashed in the harsh grip.
"Mom, Harper is adopted. Her real parents are dead."
Chapa said. Her Mom barley loosened her grip. Instead she pulled a knife up to Chapas neck. Harper continued to cry. Tears soaked her cheeks as another hand grabbed at her throat. Harper instantly tried to pull it away, to the point that she was dangling like a loose piece of cloth. Chapa looked carefully over the kitchen knife. She could feel it being pressed against her. Chapa stared as Harpers screams started to simmer down, into quiet pleads. Chapa heard her name be called several times, before she heard not a single word from Harper.
"Harper! Mom please don't do this to her. Harper has been through so much. She doesn't deserve this!"
Chapas Mom signaled to her husband to drop Harpers body. Harper fell limply to the ground. Chapa thrashed in her mother's grip. She watched as Harper looked up and pressed her emergency button and nodded slowly. Harper stood up and attacked the adults, letting Chapa fall to the ground. Harper fought hard, until she got knocked out. Chapa ran to Harpers side and shook her quickly.
"Harper! Please don't go. I need you. You know I do!"
"Chapa... I finished my purpose on Earth. It's time I join my family."
With a sudden bang, both girls are knocked out cold.

Harper thrashes under the thin blanket. She shoots up trying to catch her breath as Ray runs to the hospital bed.
"Hey sweetie. You're okay. Daddy's here."
Harper cries into Rays chest as she looks around.
"Where's Chapa? I need Chapa!"
Ray brushed the hair out of Harpers face.
"She's behind that curtain. She's still sleeping."
Harper looked over and stared the curtain down.
"I'm proud of how you girls protected each other. Your watch records audio when the emergency button is pressed."
Harper snuggled up to Rays chest. Her bones were weak and a pain was felt through her whole body.
"Can I see her please Daddy?"
Ray nodded and held her hand. He picked Harper up and placed her in a wheelchair. He opened the curtain a bit and wheeled Harper next to Chapas bed. Harper instantly grabbed Chapas hand and kissed it. She was badly bruised, and had a cast on her arm. Chapa had a few scrapes across her face, but was not as bad as Harper.
Harper had shattered her elbow, broke her leg, fractured her ankle, and had serious damage done to her throat. Harper didn't care that she was hurt. She just wanted Chapa to be okay. Harper laid her head down next to Chapas arm. Harpers eyes darted all over the girl. Ray tapped Harpers shoulder and turned her.
"Hey Harp, do you know why this was in Chapas super suit?"
The red, lacy, thong hung between Rays fingers.
"I have no clue. I never knew she kept that thing!"
The two laughed it of as they looked back at Chapa.
"She's going to be okay. Right Daddy?"
Ray sighed.
"We can only hope Harp."
Then, Chapas body started to thrash. She shot up and started crying, saying Harpers name in between sobs.
"It's okay Chapa. I'm right here love."
Chapa looked over and instantly hugged Harper.
"You were dead. They killed you!"
Harper hugged Chapa lightly.
"I'm right here it was just a bad dream. I promise you that I am not going anywhere."
Chapa scooted away and made room for Harper.
"Lay with me Harp?"
Harper nodded and Ray helped her onto the bed. The two girls lay silently in the hospital bed. Chapa cuddled up to Harpers side and let out a sigh of relief.
"Hey Chapa? Why did my Dad find this in your super suit?"
"Yeah, me and Schwoz were just going to wash them and I found that in your back pocket."
Chapa had forgotten about the thong. Chapa instantly turned red.
"Um I just... I don't know. Mika must have put that there."
Chapa looked away as Harper laughed. Harper  kissed Chapas cheek and turned Chapas head to look at her.
"You're silly you know that."
Harper leaned close to Chapas ear.
"And when we get better, we'll have to see how that looks on you."
Harper pulled away and winked. Leaving Chapa more confused than ever before. Chapa was blushing madly. Harper giggled as she laid back. Chapa curled up next to her, and the two girls stared at each other happily. Harpers smile could not be any bigger.
"You guys, the others wanna see you."
They both nodded as Ray let the other kids barrel down the door. Mika sat next to the girls and made kissy faces. Harper and Chapa held their non-broken arms up as a threat that they would slap. Mika only laughed as she looked the two over.
"Yikes. Who did this to you guys? Your parents?"
Harper and Chapa nodded. Chapa held Harpers hand tightly. Harper giggled as she leaned her head on Chapas shoulder. Mika got up and laughed.
"Lovebirds."
Harper zapped Mikas shoulder making her jump.
"That hurt! What was that for?"
"I had to put you back in your place."
Harper gave the boys a smile as they stared at the two. Harper took a moment to examine her condition. Then she looked over Chapas. Then something clicked. How she protected her.
"Dad, What happened after they shot me and Chapa with that blaster?"
Ray made a face as he thought.
"Well, we found you asleep blocking Chapa. And, you guys were pretty pale. You also lost a lot of blood. You're probably more dinged up then Chapa."
Harper nodded as she stared at the empty wall. Harper rested her head on Chapas shoulder and slowly drifted in and out of sleep. Chapa rubbed Harpers arm and Harper instantly fell asleep. Chapas smile was big as she stared lovingly at Harper. Chapa kissed the top of Harpers head and smiled. Chapa felt bad for what her parents did to Harper. Ray picked up Harper and laid her down in her bed. Harper tossed and turned as if she was looking for something. Harper let out a squeak as she turned and landed on her shattered elbow. Chapa shook her head as she stood up and sat the edge of Harpers bed. Chapa grabbed Harpers hand and she instantly calmed down.
"It's time for you guys to go home."
Everyone left the room and the two girls fell asleep.
