Chapter 1/ a new beginning

*Avani's point of view*
I woke up to my alarm going off so I snoozed it and slept for another 5 minutes cause some of us weren't blessed enough to be morning people. Anyway I get up and walk to the bathroom to wash my face, brush my teeth, shower, all that good stuff then I walked in my closet and tried to figure out an outfit but I'm indecisive so I don't know what to wear. It's a whole new school I have to make a good impression, but it's not like it matters I'll probably just leave in a few months anyway. My mom's job reassigns her all the time, it's really gotten old but I can't exactly live on my own yet beings that I'm only 17. Her job is the reason I have no friends, I try not to get attached because I know we won't be there for long even though she says it's the last time. Okay back on track, I finally found an outfit and put it on

I wore that^^ not too fancy but not too casual. I had about 5 minutes before I had to leave so I ran downstairs and grabbed an apple because breakfast is lame after that I grabbed my bag and put shoes on and ran out. I moved in about a week ago but I didn't go to school so I knew my way around pretty well.
*Time skip*
I was sitting in the office waiting for what they called a "class buddy" it's basically someone who has all the same classes as you so they can show you around and kinda make you feel more comfortable. Anyway I had sitting on my phone nodding along to what the principal was saying not really caring and then the door opened and this tall guy walks in, I couldn't really see his face until he moved his hair. He was kinda cute.
Principal- ah, Mr. Reeves thank you for coming please sit down.
Tall boy- okay?
Principal- Mr. Reeves this is a new student you will be her class buddy, I expect you to take her under your wing for the time that she is here.
Tall boy- um alright I guess
The principal then signaled us to leave and he started walking. It was pretty awkward and we didn't speak until the kid finally broke the silence
Tall boy-"I'm Anthony by the way."
You-"Avani"
he just looked and smiled. We continued to walk down the halls until I whispered something
Avani-"so boring"
Anthony-"huh?"
Avani-"oh sorry I just said it's boring"
Anthony-"yeah nothing crazy happens here just doors and doors"
Avani-"that sucks"
Anthony-"yeah. What was your last school like?"
Avani-"well, more interesting than this"
Anthony-"why are you moving in the middle of the school year anyway? If you don't mind me asking"
Avani-"my mom's job reassigned her here"
Anthony-"oh what is she?"
Avani-"um a... umm... journalist, wow almost forgot what she was"
Anthony-"oh that must be cool"
Avani-"to her. I think it's boring, imagine making a living off writing about other people's lives"
*bell rang for first period*
*Time skip to lunch because no one cares*
I went to sit next to Anthony and his friends with him, they seemed really nice but like I said I don't want to get attached so I kept my distance a bit.
Anthony-"so guys what are we doing after school?"
Amelie-"um we could hang at mine my parents are away"
Josh-"ooh bet"
Anthony-"Avani do you want to come?"
Avani- "sure"
Ugh I don't know why I just agreed, I didn't want to seem rude I mean he did help me all day. I texted my mom and told her the plan and she agreed of course. She pretty much let's me do anything because she feels bad for being away at work a lot. Anyways lunch continued, we talked, they ate, I don't eat cafeteria food cause like gross. Before I knew it school was out! We all walked to Amelie's car because we were going to her house and figured we'd just carpool.
*Time skip*
We were at Amelie's house chilling in her room just on our phones talking a bit.
Josh-"ugh I'm bored, we should play something"
Amelie-"oooh truth or dare"
Anthony-"bro that's boring we should do strip or truth"
Josh-"I mean I'm in"
Amelie-"why not?"
Avani-"I'll play"
Anthony-"okay who's first?"
Josh-"meee! Amelie, okay um ooh what's going on with you and Nick?"
Amelie-"nothing.. we're just talking"
She said kinda embarrassed
Amelie-"Avani, anyone caught your eyes at school?"
I chose to take off my shirt which kinda gave them an answer but they don't know who. I don't want to say because it was Anthony and I'm not the bold type ya know? Everyone oohed when I chose to strip.
*Anthony's pov*
We were playing and Amelie asked Avani something and Avani chose to take her shirt off, I had to hide my friend a bit. I couldn't help it she was hot. I started to day dream then I heard my name and snapped out of it.
Avani-"Anthony?"
Anthony-"oh sorry what was the question?"
Avani-"it was who's your crush?"
Anthony-"oh um I'll just take my shirt off real quick"
It was Avani but I didn't want to tell her, I mean we did just meet and she probably doesn't feel the same way. We kept playing for a little bit longer then it was time for everyone to go home since we had school tomorrow.
*Time skip to where Avani's back home*
I was sitting in bed watching criminal minds then my phone went off, its the group chat I was added to for "school purposes"
