Chapter 12/ scared

*Avani's pov*
It's been about 1 month, Arya has been growing and learning, Anthony is the same as always, and the weird stuff in our house has died down. Everything is going smoothly, besides my sleep schedule. We're all happy and healthy just living. Parenthood has honestly been such an experience so far and I lobe it!
Amelie- "I'M HERE WHERE'S MY NIECE?!"
Avani- "she's right here"
I handed Arya off to Amelie and we sat on the couch.
Amelie- "so hows everything going?"
Avani- "it's going great, enough of that I wanna know about Nick"
I said really impatiently and excited
Amelie- "jeez, calm down we're... talking"
Avani- "aw, cmon you've been talking since I met you!"
Amelie- "I know and I want to be more but I don't want to be rejected"
Anthony- "oh hey Amelie, babe I have a meeting so I'm going to head out"
Avani- "okay love you"
Anthony- "love you too"
He kissed me and kissed Arya on the forehead and left
Avani- "he seems to really like you too, I say you go for it and if you get rejected at least you know how he feels"
Amelie- "I shou-"
Amelie was cut off my a dish being thrown from the drying rack. We sat there in shock until she broke the silence.
Amelie- "you saw that too right?"
Just after she said that the lights began to flicker and cabinets opened and shut.
Avani- "oh my god what's going on?"
??- "GO"
That word sent shivers down my spine, whatever had said it was less than an inch behind me! Me and Amelie ran out the house and Arya started crying.
Avani- "it's okay baby"
Amelie- "what in Jesus's name just happened"
Avani- "I don't know, after Arya was born weird stuff started to happen around the house but it stopped, so I thought"
Amelie- "we need to go see a priest"
Avani- "agreed"
And with that we drove to a priest.
*time skip to Church*
Avani- "hello Father, if you have a minute could we speak to you?"
Priest- "of course come into my office"
We went in and sat down
Priest- "now, what will this be regarding"
Avani- "there's been weird stuff happening in my home"
Priest- "mhm, and when exactly I'd this all start?"
Avani- "when we brought Arya home, at first it was just figures and hearing things on the monitor then we thought it was under control. But today dishes were flying and lights were flickering"
Priest- "oh dear, and where in the house did it start?"
Avani- "Arya's room, that's why we moved her to our room"
Priest- "I think you have a poltergeist that has latched on to your daughter, it thinks it's her mother"
That sentence made my blood run cold.
