Arnold Rimmer just wanted to get away from Io, and attending art college on the bog-planet of Earth was about as far from his family's expectations as he could hope to get.
Why I Like It: Rimmer is a fantastically thought out character here. He's different but a completely feasible difference made from the decisions he makes in his past.
