Kongpob's POV

The deep brown shirt that matched his eyes also accentuated his toned arms as it tightened around them. His fingers held a pen, which was grazing a pair of pink lips every now and then as he sat in absorption across me. Around 5 empty cups which once held pink milk, lay on the desk between us. How could a person who consumed hundred glasses of the sweet concoction daily, manage to maintain such a muscular chest? One, I would have ogled uninterruptedly, if it wasn't for the task at hand.

"Why did they have to advance the dead line by a week? It's 5 already and we're not even half way through the report."

"You know how these advertising agencies are. They'll make the most convincing case before you, to have their demands met."

"Tell me about it. I'll have my hair completely pulled out before all these numbers fall into place. I am whacked. Let's take a break."

Not looking up from the files, he hummed. "I'll be done with this account as soon as I get the last data sheet from Finance. Em said it'll take them another 15 minutes."

"Okay. I'll be outside breathing in some non-office air. It's too stuffy in here. Be back in a few."

"Hmm"

The sunset illuminated the skyline with an orange hue and a few streaks of purple in between, as I gazed at the bustling metro. My palms were perched on a stone railing that bordered the roof while I leaned in to take a whiff. I was hoping to perceive the smell of jasmines and canals, a scent pally with Bangkok, but all I could take in was a minty fragrance. The one that emanated constantly from Arthit, and had now cloaked my skin. Our proximity during the previous hours being the inducing factor. If I had any reservations regarding my feelings earlier, these few months had wiped them off and all that held out was a penchant for him. I wanted him. His name brought up all the flaring memories of the previous months, memories that had kindled hope in me, something that seemed a fantasy earlier. The deep crimsoning or hitched breaths at my touch, the squirms every time our eyes laid on each other and the fixated eyes directed at me when he thought I wasn't looking meant something. And I was determined to find out what. For the first time in 3 years I was hopeful.

"Hey. I knew I would find you here. It's going to take them another 15 to prepare the sheet. I got you coffee. It's been hours since you had lunch."

"Thanks. How did you know I would be here?"

"I've noticed you come up a few times when work becomes too much."

The sky was darkening as the night fought to emerge.

"I love sunsets, don't you? They're mesmerising."

"I do too and yes, they are."

"You know I had my first date by the sunset on a beach in Pattaya. The date itself might've been disastrous, but that sunset was one of the best I've seen."

"Why disastrous?"

He looked sheepish. "Ugh it's kind of an embarrassing story."

"That makes it sound even better."

"You'd never miss a chance to laugh at my expense, would you?

So, I was on this vacation with my friends in Pattaya and one of the girls in our group asked me out. I said yes because I had been crushing on her for a while too. That evening, as we sat by the beach, we got talking about our likes and hobbies. I told her how much I enjoyed playing online games, and naturally she asked me what kind were my favourite. And the half-witted person, that I was, proceeded to show her exactly what were my favourites. For the next two hours the poor girl had to bear with all the manoeuvres and game play I demonstrated. Yeah yeah. Go ahead and laugh, don't stifle it. This does warrant a good cackle."
