Gigi sighed and turned the car engine off. They had reached their destination and she was overly excited to not only meet her friends but also introduce them to Crystal. They sat in the car for about a minute in complete silence just taking in the surroundings. They could hear the music blasting from inside the large, fancy house, and they could feel the bass going through their bodies. Gigi looked over at Crystal, she looked mildly terrified.
Gigi put her hand on Crystal's trying to be more reassuring for her. "You ready?" She spoke in a low tone while smiling daringly. Crystal snapped out of it and tried to hide her nerves behind a fake smile. Crystal had told Gigi about her negative experiences at the previous school. She had, however, forgotten to mention that the only ever party she had ever attended had ended up a complete disaster for her as she ran home crying completely drenched in slush.
Gigi exited the car and Cryst followed her outside into the chilly evening air. She felt so out of place but she wanted to give it a try. It shouldn't be that bad, right?
As Gigi was walking towards the door, obviously exited for the party, Crystal felt a sudden feeling of panic come over her. "Wait!" Gigi let go of the door handle and turned to face the red haired girl. "What's wrong, Crys?" Gigi took a few steps closer and held the others hand.
"I'm honestly really bad with crowds." Crystal spoke in a hushed tone looking at the stone floor. Gigi got a sad look on her face and walked even closer to her. "You should have told me."
"I know, I just... You seemed so exited about me meeting your friends for the first time. I didn't want to disappoint you." Crystal felt tears welling up in her eyes but she tried her best to blink them away. Gigi just hugged the girl tightly and hushed her. "You could never disappoint me, Crystal. We can go back home if you want."
"No, I really want to meet your friends. Just promise me you won't leave me alone?" Crystal gave Gigi this adorable face when she asked. Her eyes were sparkling with hope and her cheeks were slightly flustered. Gigi's heart skipped a beat when she saw her.
Gigi reached out her hand and held out her pinkie finger. "I will make you a pinkie promise. I won't leave you alone in there, okay?" Crystal smiled and locked her finger with Gigi's.
"Promise?"
"Promise."

When they entered the house Gigi and Crystal immediately spotted Jaida. She was a tall, dark beauty with long wavy hair that reached all the way down her back. Gigi went to give the girl a hug and they exchanged greetings before Gigi turned to Crystal who stood there like a lost puppy. "Jaida, I want you to meet Crystal Methyd. We are in design together, so you might have met her once or twice."
Crystal gave a small wave and a quiet "Hi." While smiling shyly. Jaida examined her, up and down. Then she smiled big and ran up to her to give her an equally big hug. "Isn't she just the CUTEST?" Jaida giggled. "Hi Crystal, i'm Jaida. If you ever need anything just hit me up, okay?"
Crystal smiled even wider and nodded. "Thanks!" Gigi stood and watched them get acquainted like a proud mother as she heard a familiar voice behind her.
"Gigi?" She spun around at the touch of a hand on her shoulder and she immediately took a step back. "Dahlia."
Crystal was snapped out of her and Jaida's conversation when she saw Gigi arguing with someone behind them. She recognized the girl from around school. She was a pretty black haired girl that usually hung out with the popular squad, which is why Crystal had tried to avoid her.
"Hey Jaida, who's that Gigi is talking to?" Crystal pointed quickly over at Gigi and Dahlia making Jaida turn around and sigh. "Oh that's Dahlia, Gigi's ex. She can be a pain in the ass but she's sweet... somewhere deep inside... under all the shade." Her voice grew gradually more quiet and she coughed at the end awkwardly. "They often got into arguments with each other over the smallest of things. Now even just seeing each other sets them off." Jaida chuckled.
Crystal had only been listening halfways. Her mind was stuck on one thing and that was that Dahlia was Gigi's ex. Was Gigi lesbian? Did she stand a chance?
