Dusk now fell over them. They got remains of the reflected paint and met in the music room. Ethane finished painting Caz's body then stood up.
"Listen. I won't be leaving today."
Caz tilted his head.
"What do you mean? ...E we're getting out of this together."
Ethane looked at Caz his face not changing expression.
"We overlooked a simple detail. Someone has to be here to play the piano. I know how to play it, and you don't. You're physically strong, and I'm weak. You need to get out of here to warn the rest of the world, so this never happens to anyone else again. We aren't just doing it for us, or for Sam anymore. Now we're doing it for the world. So as badly as you want to, don't argue with me."
Caz stood there in silence for a minute then spoke up placing his hand on Ethane's shoulder.
"I will be back for you. We are going to be together again... Now you play that piano... And don't you dare stop until I bust through that door again. You understand me?"
Ethane nodded and handed Caz his cell phone.
"You don't need to go far. Just make it to the Church that is north of here and the Hissi won't be able to touch you. You'll have reception there and you can call for help."
Caz nodded his head understanding.
"Church. North. Call for help. Got it."
He slipped the cellphone into his pocket and began opening the windows around the entire house allowing the piano melody to fill the winter air.
Caz entered the door way of the music room.
    "Alright. Mistro, If you please."
Ethane nodded cracked his knuckles and began to play the melody. It rang through the winter air bouncing off the snow. The time for the escape had begun.
