Ziggy looked around Jasper's shoulder, seeing the three figures heading closer to the group. Ziggy's shaking long, deep breaths for air became more and more frequent, Ziggy could feel her heartbeat beating faster and quicker than it ever has before. The trembling, scared girl placed her shaking hands on Jasper's side.
The loud cracking of the thunder was still in the air, Ziggy couldn't help but jump every time the sound appeared.
“I won't let anything happen to you.” Jasper said feeling Ziggy's shaking body against his back.
“Either will i.” Rosalie replied, sending Ziggy a comforting smile.
The three unfamiliar vampires stopped in front of the Cullen's, the dark-skinned man with dreadlocks stood in the middle, he held up the baseball that Rosalie had sent flying threw the air, just moments ago.
“I believe this belongs to you.” the man said throwing the ball back to Carlisle who nodded his head in appreciation.
“Thank you.”
“I am Laurent, and this is Victoria, and James.” Ziggy already didn't like the look on James's face as his eyes traveled over every single person in front of him.
“I'm Carlisle and this is my family.” Carlisle spoke so clearly with no hesitation as he looked back at his family, not turning back until he could see that Ziggy was alright before turning back to look at Laurent.
“Hello.” Laurent said nodding his head at the family.
“I'm afraid your hunting activities, having caused a mess for us.” Carlisle said.
“Our apologies, we didn't realize that this territory had been claimed.”
“Yes, well. We obtain a resistance near by.”
“Really? Well, we won't be a problem anymore.” Laurent spoke, his eyes locked on Carlisle. “We were just passing through.”
“The humans were tracking us, but we head them east.” Victoria spoke, her voice sharp. “You should be safe.”
“Excellent.” Carlisle said.
“So? Could you use three more players?” Laurent asked. “Come on, just one game.”
“sure.. why not? A few of us were just leaving, you can take their places.” Carlisle said. Jasper slipped his hand into Ziggy's.
Jasper went to walk Ziggy away when a snarl filled the air.
“You brought a snack.. or snacks.” James hissed, but the Cullen's gathered around the girls, letting James know that they weren't afraid to fight if they had too.
