I watched as all of the stars slowly began to fall from the sky.
Time stood still as my world collapsed to its knees and wanted to cry.The glass of hope shattered,
Shimmering fragments battered,
Darkness fell, light scattered,
All at once, nothing mattered.Where do you go when the sky becomes dull?
How do you stand when it feels like you can't?The universe had an answer that the world and the stars could not tell me.
You don't.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN, YOU DON'T?!
The universe is funny. I found out exactly what it meant.
I didn't have to go anywhere, the answer came straight to me.
I didn't have to stand either, I got swept completely off my feet.
I also learned something new, I didn't even need to breathe.Out of absolutely nowhere, a Star brighter than any star I've ever seen in my entire life, appeared in the sky. A Star so bright that it just couldn't be real. A Star that opened up a whole new sense of wonder. A Star that restored hope beyond all of its previous capabilities. A Star that had awoken pieces of me that I never knew existed before. A Star that became the beacon for all of the other stars to follow. They all slowly ascended back in place following the Star's example.
I've never seen the sky so complete before. Like all my years, I would look up at the sky and never even noticed that something was just missing. What could possibly be missing from the beautiful night sky? What could possibly be so powerful that now that it's there, I couldn't go without it? What could possibly put me back together stronger than I've ever been before??
Our Star.
