Tears in my coffee this morning,
FOR FLAVOR!

-D.O.

So looking back, this was a bit sad. This will stay here, but I'm going to just add a little story that's irrelevant and will potentially be very slightly funny to some. (But probably not.)

The other day, a coworker friend came over by the smoke pit by my office to catch up with me and another coworker friend. It had been almost two years since I had seen him last, and I was pretty stoked to see how he'd been doing.

Small talk commences,

"My man! How goes it brother?!"

"Doing good Doug, how about you?"

"Been alright man, been surviving."

"Word, I hear you on that!"

"How you liking the new job?"

"It's a lot, it's good, but it's a lot to learn."

"Yeah definitely. Still beats where we came from though."

"Hell yeah it does! Damn Doug, you been working out man?! You look freaking huge!!"

"Nah man, you know, just swelling up in anger."

*The whole ass smoke pit was laughing OMG

Sometimes, I say something that I think people will cringe at, and then I'm completely thrown off when they find it funny lol.

I take it as a lesson to remember it's okay to just be yourself. I think some people can relate to how hard it feels to do so sometimes.

Just be you.

You'll be taken back by how people naturally accept you.
