When I wake up and I’m back in my bedroom, nice and safe. I’m breathing heavy and I see that all of my blankets are jumbled up from me rolling around. I look over and there is a sticky note on my lamp shade that says
Ireland,
We have gone on our business trip,
The Kelly’s are expecting you and
You’re brother by noon. See you soon!
Mom and Dad
“Great.” I said taking the note off of my lamp. I crumbled it up and threw it in the trash. When I got done packing I headed to my brothers room to tell him.
“Troy.” I said knocking on the door.
“What?” he said half asleep.
“Mom and dad left … we are supposed to be at the Kelly’s by noon so I suggest you get up now.” I said
“Okay, be out in a minuet.” Said Troy
I then walk downstairs and drop my bag at the front door. I grab my skateboard and then wait for Troy. Once he comes down stairs I ask
“Ready?”
“Yup.” He said adjusting the strap of his bag on his shoulder. I follow the directions that my mom gave me and we ended up at a stone mansion with a giant forest as the background. It has a big iron fence and in the middle is a rain-rusted gate.
“Perfect, we’re staying with the Addams Family for a week.” I said gesturing to the gigantic house.
“This … is the Kelly’s house.” Troy said walking up to the big iron fence.
“I followed the directions.” I said showing him a crumbled up piece of paper. “Plus, look.” I said pointing to a black mail box that says Kelly on it in white paint. I pushed on the gates and they open. We walked up to the giant mansion and knocked on the door. Just then I froze when Jessie opened the door.
“Jessie? What are you doing here?” I asked
“Uh, I live here.”
“Oh.” I said staring at the ground.
“Ireland are you going to introduce me to your friend?” asked Troy waving a hand in front of my face.
“Oh yeah, Troy this is Jessie, Jessie this is Troy my brother.” I said
“Hi Troy, here come in I’ll go tell mom you guys are here.” Said Jessie stepping out of the doorway and into the giant foyer.
When we walked in, unlike outside, it was warm and bright. With white granite floors and golden wall paper and to top it all off a great diamond chandelier. A couple minutes after standing there I hear the clicking of Mrs. Kelley’s black stilettos against the cold, granite floors.
“Hello! You two must be Troy and Ireland.” said Mrs. Kelly with an out reached hand.
“Hi.” I said shaking her hand
“Well Jessie, show them their rooms and then I want all of you to meet me in the library after you guys are settled.” Said Mrs. Kelley as she walked off to what I’m guessing was the library.
