Part 14

** Evie's POV **
I woke up the next day in a fairly good mood except that fact that i had to go make breakfast so i headed downtown and started making it for me and Hayley. The boys were talking in the group chat about some random stuff to do with school and homework they didn't do and they ended up copying Zayn. We ate and i headed off to school and stood outside waiting for Louis because we normally walked in together but he wasn't there yet today so i gathered he was just running a bit late. Then it started raining but i was still gonna wait.

I was waiting for a while and i was soaking now till a teacher told me it was my last chance to go into school. I walked into the lockers where everyone was stood looking at me especially Harry and his group. Then one of his friends decided it was a perfect time to.. comment

"hey you look a bit wet. awh were you waiting for your little boyfriend." he said snickering with his mates

"leave me alone ! maybe i was it's not ur business" i wasn't in the mood to argue with him so i kept walking

"did he not tell you he was already inside ? Probably to busy with that girl"

"What girl" i said stopping dead in my tracks and turning around.

"i don't know Bailey i think. aw he didn't tell you and you waited now your all wet. Guess your even a no one to him" another one of the guys said

"Hey ! what did she do to you guys" i heard.. wait Zayn ? i looked over and there he stood with Louis Liam Niall and some girl.

"How sweet is your new little boyfriend standing up for you. No point dang it Zayn i thought you were an alright guy"

"Just leave her alone she didn't do anything to you. You just pick on anyone cause your life's so boring" Why was Zayn defending me

That quickly escalated and they were right in front of each other throwing insults and what really hurt was that Louis wasn't saying a thing.

"Zayn give it a rest there's no point i don't need your help" i had enough of him being all up in my business

That really didn't help and they got into a fist fight that guy got a few good hits on zayn while zayn got one good hit by the end of it Zayn was on the floor and Harry.. stopped his friend and helped Zayn up. A teacher came and split it all up the last thing i remember of Zayn was him looking up at me with a look of  betrayal in his eyes.

We all got told to go to class and i was with Liam and Niall. When we sat down it was kinda awkward until Niall finally spoke up and he wasn't happy.

"You know he was just trying to help you"

"Even Louis didn't say anything and he did" Liam said joining in

"Ok ok maybe i shouldn't have said that i was just scared i don't know what i was doing i feel bad" i did i did. feel bad i just didn't know what else i could tell them

"I think he'll forgive you though just apologise maybe when you see him next. you know he's a quiet guy" Liam was trying to convince me the situation wasn't as bad as it was

The rest of the lesson Niall only spoke to ask when lunch was or what to do because he was confused. Me and Liam talked a bit not much they were both annoyed at me but i was annoyed at Louis that he was to busy talking to some random girl to defend me. i didn't expect him to i'm not the type of person to be like defend me be a man but it would have been nice.

At lunch we walked out and waited for Louis outside his class because he got kept behind no surprise there. When we went to the canteen he was acting like absolutely nothing happened we sat down got food Niall stole most. So nothing different happened except the table felt empty without Zayn now instead of 1 seat missing there was 2 so Louis suggested moving to a table with only 4 seats and so we did. Then i turned around and saw Harry's group waking in WITH ZAYN. They were laughing as if they'd never fallen out Harry practically only payed attention to Zayn and a few of his mates ignoring the rest. It was so weird seeing them together again. I wasn't the only one since soon i heard the boys gasp and start saying stuff but i zones out. Zayn looked over shot us a sad smile which quickly turned into a look of disappointment and almost disgust.

** Harry's POV **
I honestly don't even know how to feel. I felt bad for Zayn i mean the guy stood up for her and she completely backstabbed him. I was expecting Louis to step in but he didn't and Liam came in the end so he didn't know what was happening till it was over really. No longer did i wanna see who used to be my literal best friend be beat up on the floor so i pulled the guy away and helped him up. We talked a bit and we had the same class so we talked all through that even though some thing that changed was he did his work really well. I missed him and the all the boys even Evie they were great friends. But my pride and embarrassment wouldn't let me own up and talk to Evie. I so badly wanted to say sorry but now she treated Zayn like that i didn't even care. Of course i offered Zayn to hang out with us and he accepted it was as though we were friends the whole time. We were even going to hang out after school i missed him and so did my mum apparently. He was the only person i'd have now to hang out with after school and i missed it. I know i still had Niall but he was more friends with them at least i knew what was going on a bit but i tried not to ask to much. Things were going to get different i guess.

A/N
