"Drown the flames, Linh!" somebody shouted from afar. Sophie Elizabeth Foster, The Moonlark of the Black Swan, is severely injured from battle. She could barely make out what's in front of her except for the obvious flames roaring in front of her.

She felt as if she was in a daze, randomly crawling towards her retreating friends. Fitz and Keefe noticed her injured body and immediately levitated her onto a stretcher while Keefe carried her off.

However, before she can fully leave the scene, a figure seemed to step out of the flames, unhurt by the roaring fire. It couldn't be...

It was then she realized it couldn't be Fintan or Brant. Fintan is still locked inside his prison, and Brant is crushed to death by a door. How could any of them be here?

She was right. As the figure stepped closer and kneeled into the flames, she realized the elf was shorter than Fintan or Brant... very much like.... her height. And he definitely did not have Fintan's ice blue eyes or Brant's gray-blue eyes. Wait... his eyes... how?

Maybe it was her vision blurring, but she swore she saw the child had a turquoise left eye with orange specks and a purple right eye. That's not possible... is it?

He definitely was a Pyrokinetic though, because she saw the Balefire flames and Everblaze dance around his palm, but his other hand held an orb of... water? She was doubting her vision by this point, saw no reason to strain herself anymore, so she allowed herself to drift into sleep.

"Come on, Lib!" Lady Gisela yelled over the flames as she ran towards their crystal along with Vespera, Gethen, Ruy, and Trix.

As much as he didn't want to disobey his creators, he stepped into his Balefire and Everblaze hybrid flames and started to walk through it. On the way to the other side, he saw the Black Swan's Psionipath create a barrier from the flames with Hydrokinetic shooting jets of water at his unstoppable flames.

He searched for his archnemesis until his eyes fell on her, who was injured and carried away on a stretcher by her Cognate and the Empath. Her eyes suddenly fluttered open and met his. A chill shivered down his spine as she started to gaze at him intently, squinting at some part of his body. Did he have scars? Nah, that was not possible. Wait, she was looking at his eyes... his eyes...

Yes, he definitely had strange eyes, so he closed them and extinguished a path through his own flames with his water, arriving on the other side. "What took you so long?" Lady Gisela yelled at him before he shook his head as "I don't want to talk about it."

As always, she sighed and ignored him peacefully as he wished. It was weird how they treated him as one of their equals when he was an untrained child.

The Neverseen glittered away as the flames began to disperse at his will, leaving nothing behind. Lib was worried about the Moonlark and her abilities, as he does indeed fear her to a certain point. What he didn't know is that the destinies of his own, the Lodestar's, and the Moonlarks's has just begun.
