Chapter III- Lib's 1st Battle Plan

It was a really long day.

Lib stretched out his arms and legs as he relaxed after his Psionipath lesson with Ruy, alone in his own room in the Neverseen's recent new hideout just under the star Aquello. He built a whole new section for himself, but the section itself blends well into the background just as the rest of the hideout does, thanks to his Technopath abilities. He also created invisible barriers around the hideout with Ruy, made illusions around it with Vespera, so it was basically undetectable.

Lib started to sit down on his relaxing armchair that faced the beach, watching the sunset as the sun slowly melted into the water. The Neverseen excelled at many things, but the Moonlark obviously has something up her sleeve too. Or else they would've already been in control of the Lost Cities and LIB WON'T HAVE TO KEEP HIMSELF IN HIDING ARGH

He grumbled about his life in hiding when he realized what he just thought about. If we already succeeded in conquering the lost cities, I would be viewed as a hero later on! He quickly grabbed all the papers he had regarding the ability training he had with the rest of the Neverseen and gathered the notes he had written for the past 14 to 15 years, containing all his knowledge and experience on his abilities. If he could somehow just link the strengths of all members of the Neverseen, he can create a miracle that can manage to take down Moonlark or injure her to a point where they can have the advantage of making threats.

This idea of his was supposed to take place around a week after Lib came up with it.

But it got delayed for a week when Lady Gisela had to run some errands in the Lost Cities in order to raid an alchemist's shop to get some ingredients to a side project she has been working on. Apparently, Neverseen members never tell each other about their side projects as long as it doesn't affect the entire group because it's "for their own privacy".

And... it got another two weeks before they actually considered it because Gethen and Ruy laughed at his thought of him coming up with a battle plan and basically convinced the rest of the Neverseen it was a joke.

It was a real bummer.

However, Lady Gisela realized his plan's true potential a few days later when she was finished with her side project, she basically praised him to the point where Lib wished he never showed her his plans. One, because it was actually too embarrassing. Two, because Ruy, Gethen, and Trix were basically glaring at him like three tigers deciding how to eat a piece of meat(and the meat is him).

Basically, his plan was to hold one of the Black Swan's members hostage, but all of them seem either very protected or too difficult to find. The easiest target now would be that Empath Heks, who was a friend of Moonlark's on the Council's little battle group, so they immediately initiated the plan.

As to why they need to hold them hostage, Lady Gisela had her own reasons for asking a question to the Moonlark and the Lodestar. So Lib just guessed he was lucky on that part of his planning.

So moving on to the next phase where the Neverseen and Lib go capture Stina Heks in one group while the other group goes to send a letter to Havenfield. Lady Gisela already did tons of uninvited trips to Havenfield to deliver messages to the Moonlark 12 years ago.

Lib and Ruy encased the Heks' House in two thick layers of force fields while Trix and their Charger will go into the building to retrieve the hostages. At the same time, Lady Gisela would be already finished delivering the message and the Moonlark and her friends need approximately 3 hours to construct the temporary leaping crystal while they set up traps at their location.

Ruy had three invisible force fields encased around their location above their heads so that the moment they leap in, they would be trapped. Lib also dumped alcohol and oil he gathered from the Forbidden Cities, which would supposedly make the place for flammable, according to humans. He incased the place where the Black Swan will leap to in ice, leaving only visibility to the cryo-castle he would build in order to keep them there.

Trix had arranged tornados outside the forcefield, combined with Lib's shadows, to keep out outsiders and other help for the Moonlark. Lib created a gigantic moat by washing the land over and over with water until the moat formed. It was actually very tiring but doable.

With the defenses now secure, they decided how to have offense system in case the Moonlark just tried to bust them out. Since she can't teleport into or out of solid structures, it's best to surround the area in dense rocks or ice, which as a Cryokinetic, Lib had no problem doing that.

Lib decided to add some decoration with his Shade and Flasher powers so that it darkens every single icy hallway and all they can see is the light arrows pointing in the direction of the meeting. He rigged some gadgets so that it could detect wherever the Black Swan members are the instant they enter the newly created stronghold.

"Seriously, Lib," Ruy had said as he gave Lib a disapproving look. "This is not going to work. The Moonlark has thwarted our plans many times,  even though we are still at an advantage. But an icy stronghold is not going to hold her for long, also adding the fact that she has many allies now."

"But we have new members as well, right, Raiden?" Lib said as he turned to the female Charger that joined their ranks around 3 years ago, and she had done well to keep her identity hidden. Raiden had taken over Lib's Astrakinesis lessons after she joined their ranks.

Raiden nodded at Lib and a smile reached his face as he realized one of his comrades really supported him. Gethen ruined his happy moment by immediately saying, "Lib, they won't even come here. They would know it's a trap."

"Oh, I'm pretty sure my plan will work and they will come." Lib smiled as he stared down at his gadgets gave a tiny beep-boop.

"How can you be so sure?" Gethen pressed.

"Well, everyone, I have to retreat into my own room now. I will be watching, though." Lib said as he dug out a remote control from his cape. "This is the control for the hostage's cell. When you have your end of the deal done, press the green button. Don't push the red button unless I'm here."

"Oh, and Gethen?" Lib stopped in his tracks and looked at the Telepath directly in his eyes. "I'm sure because they're already here."

Sorry guys I was actually really busy this week so I wasn't updating. But I promise 3 new chapters this week! This one's the first this week. Have fun and don't die from COVID!
