Chapter 11

Sobrang busy na naman namin this week. Finals na kasi. Kailangan kong mag review at aralin ang lahat lahat dahil kailangan kong makapasok ulit as DL. I cant make my parents dissapointed.

9pm na pero hindi pa ako nakakapag dinner so I decided to call Drake if he can buy me food. I also told him to stay here in my condo para sabay na kaming makapag review. This will serve as our bonding moment because its been 4 days mula ng huli naming pagkikita.

From Love:

Love Im here. Open the door.

After receiving his message I got up from my seat para salubungin siya.

"Hi. Sorry for disturbing you. Im just really hungry. I've no time to cook nor to buy myself food." Sabi ko sa kanya habang naglalakad kami papunta sa kusina ng condo ko.

"Youre not a disturbance to me and you know that. You know that I always have time for you. Kumain ka muna bago ka ulit mag review."

Minadali ko lang yung pagkain ko dahil marami rami pa kong aaralin. Good thing we're both engineering students kaya sabay talaga kaming nag aaral at pag meron kaming hindi maintindihan nagtatanungan lang kami.

By 2:45am natapos kami mag review so we decided to sleep dahil first day of finals tomorrow or should I say later.

Semestral break. Finally. I texted my cousins if theyre free. Papunta kami ngayon sa Pier one. Matagal tagal din kaming hindi nagkasama sama.

Im wearing white tube top, black leather jacket and skirt, silver heels. I curled my hair and put a light make up.

Sabay kaming pumunta ni Hattie sa Pier one. Sasakyan niya lang ang gamit namin. Pag dating namin nandon na yung tatlo.

"Hi. Its been a while." I greeted them and kiss them on the cheeks.

"Yeah. Pare-pareho tayong busy no."-Clem

"Good thing its semestral break. We have time para magbonding ulit."-Serena

"Ako muna oorder."-Hattie

"Sa dance floor muna ko. Byebye."-Tracie

Umorder ng tequila and cocktail drinks si Hattie. We started talking about sa mga nangyari this past few months dahil wala kaming balita sa isat isa.

Its almost 1:30am bago kami nagdecide na umuwi na.

Its been a week. Back to school. Back to normal. Nag usap kami kahapon ni Drake na magkikita kami mamaya para sa labas mag dinner.

Nasa room ako ngayon at hinihintay ang next Prof namin na 30mins late na.

6pm ng sinundo ako ni Drake sa condo. I just wear a black croptop and white high waisted jeans and sandals.

Sa isang Japanese Restaurant nalang naming naisipang kumain.

"How have you been love? Sorry ngayon lang tayo nakapag kita busy kasi ako masyado." I said to him.

He drink water first before answering. "Im doing good so far. And I understand because studies is our priorities. How about you?

"Super stress. Tignan mo oh *i showed him my face* pumapangit na ko."

He chuckled. "Nah. Hindi naman. Still the girl that I love. And if  pumangit ka man, mahal pa din kita." He winked at me.

Meh. So cheesy. Bolero pa.

"Awww. I love you too. Lets eat na. Its getting late."

Nag usap lang kami ng nag usap ni Drake to cope up on whats been happening this past few days na hindi kami nakakapag kita. After that he decided to bring me home.

"Ah love before I forgot. I already talk to your parents. Pinagpaalam ko na sa kanila na mag m-move out kana sa condo mo at titira kasama ko dun sa mapipili nating bahay sa Athen's Village."

My lips form an "O". I didnt know that he talked to my parents. Kasi ako hindi ko naman sila nakakausap kaya nakakagulat lang na nakausap niya.

"Really? When ba tayo lilipat? Or mamimili?" I asked. I cant even hide my excitement.

"This Saturday na. So clear your sched that day and sa Sunday naman we are going to buy the furnitures and other stuffs for the house."

"Wait. I thought sa 3rd anniv. pa tayo bibili ng house?"

"Yes. Sa 3rd anniversarry pa tayo lilipat but bibilhin na natin now.  Aayusin lang muna natin so that pag kalipat natin wala ng kailangang ayusin."

"Okay then. I cant wait. See you on Saturday Love. Ingat ka. I love you."

"Okay. I love you too. Bye." He kiss me before getting inside his car.

Today is tuesday. My mom called me and she ask me to go home later. Tumatawag lang naman sila kapag may kailangan silang sabihin either bad or good news. I wonder what kind of news is it.

When I arrived home, tanging maids lang ang sumalubong sakin. Pauwi palang daw sina mom and dad.

Umakyat muna ako sa room ko. I took a bath and nag suot lang ng dolphin shorts and simple tshirt.

I also did my night routines. I was combing my hair when I heard knocks on the door.

"Maam, dinner na daw po kayo. Nandyan na po sila Maam at Sir."

I just nodded to the maid and headed my way to the dining area.

"Good evening mom and dad." I gave both of them a kiss on the cheek.

"Good evening iha. Lets eat." My mom said.

Napansin ko lang na parang medyo pumayat si dad. At muka namang stress na stress si mom. I wonder whats going on.

After dinner umakyat na ko sa room ko. My mom suddenly enter the room.

"Iha, can you spare a moment with me?"

"Ofcourse mom. What is it mom? Why do you look sad and s-stress?"

"Iha *her tears suddenly bursts out* your dad."

"M-mom what is i-it? W-what about dad?"

"He h-has a b-rain t-tumor." My mom cried harder.

I dont know what to say. Its like a bomb drop infront of me. My tears started to fall down on my cheek.

"H-how come? K-kailan niyo pa po n-nalaman?"

"Nung S-sunday pa. T-that was after the m-meeting. H-he said that his head hurts so bad and after that he f-fainted. We rush him to the hospital and he was d-diagnose na may brain t-tumor siya."

My room suddenly filled with cries and tears. My mom hugged me and I hugged her also.

Nagpaalam na si mom dahil papainumin niya pa daw ng meds si dad.

I was just staring at the ceiling of room. My mind is blank. Wala akong ibang iniisip kundi ang kalagayan ni dad. Wala ding ibang pinagsabihan si mom kundi ako lang daw.

I spent the whole night thinking about my dad's condition and fell asleep........
