School went relatively normal the next day, Alex came to pick her up and from the corner of her eyes, she saw Bree-one of her new roommates-wiggle her brows suggestively at her as she entered his car causing her to blush tremendously.
He dropped her off at her lecture hall.
Adriel saw the blatant worry on Alex's face. She knew why he was.
"Alex, I'll be fine." She said.
He sighed. She'd caught on.
"I know. It's just that my hall is so far from yours and I-." She chuckled.
"Relax Alex." He closed his eyes exhaling.
"You're right. I have nothing to worry about." He said.
"I'll pick you up, the usual time." He said. She smiled at him and like always it did mad things to his heart.
Soon he drove off and Adriel turned and made her way up the stairs to her lecture hall.
Lecture went on as usual and she jotted down as much as she could.
She was a nerd by heart and there was nothing wrong with that.
Soon the first lecture for the day was over. She let out a sigh and flexed her fingers. She began putting her books back into her bag.
Adriel felt presences around her but she didn't stop until she was done.
She looked up and saw all of them, Victoria, Lucky, Becky Tyler, Jake, Ian and...him.
They were all glaring murderously at her.
She looked away.
"What do you want?" She asked.
Victoria wanted to retaliate but Jayden held a hand up, stopping her.
Jayden told them all to give them some privacy.
"Leave us." He said.
They all gave him startled looks but he didn't repeat himself.
Slowly, they left, one by one.
Even after they were long gone Adriel still felt their slithering gazes on her.Adriel looked at Jayden and a gasp escaped her lips. He looked worn out like he hadn't slept in days.
But she hardened her face and looked away the moment she remembered the girl they'd murdered in her room.
He took a seat.
"Are you here to try and kill me again?" Adriel asked coldly.
"Unfortunately, no." She heard him say. Adriel glared at him. She took her bag and proceeded in sidestepping him but Jayden held her back.
"Don't go." He said.
Adriel turned to look at him and she saw the tired look in his eyes again. She wanted to ask about it but she shook his hand off instead, she was surprised at how easy it came off.
"You should know you no longer have any power over me. I have the Holy Spirit now and you can't ever tell me what to do ever again." Adriel said.
"You did this to me. You're the reason I'm like this." Jayden said accusingly.
Adriel looked at him confused.
He looked up at her from where he sat.
"Just who are you?" Jayden asked perplexed.
Adriel was shocked at his words. He stood up and walked towards her.
"Ever since that night, I couldn't feed. I suddenly started feeling remorse,"
