Sunshine and rainbows is all we know
When we don't get toys are the only times we feel low
The pain we feel doesn't exceed little things
Like tripping and scraping our knees on the floorOur elders feel so many things
Why are you crying i ask
Why don't you want to live I ask
Shake their head and smile, say it's fineThe older kids and teenagers
So much blood and bruises
Do they fight this much
What's going onDepression, OCD and Anxiety
It takes us a while to see
The importance and the severity
Of these parasites in people's mindsFeeling stupid now
For what I didn't know then
When the world seemed so bright
And the only darkness
Was the rain that took away our light
