Madi's POV
_________
I checked my calendar with Lilly. Christmas was 24 days away. It was the first week of advent. It was Sunday. We had no school on Monday because of more school faculty meetings and building construction.
Now, Lilly, wanted to celebrate Christmas with me, but she is Jewish. So I decided to help her out. I love teaching Christianity.
"So," Lilly said. "Help." "Okay" I said. "There are first four weeks of advent. This is the first week. It's mostly preparing for the coming of Jesus Christ. The second week is like the first. Decorating, putting up the tree, nativity scene, prayer, carols, and more. My favorite is Personent Hodie, a Latin carol." She nodded. "What about the last two weeks?" Lilly asked. "We rejoice in the coming of Jesus." I said. "And on Christmas Eve, we have some family time. I am hosting a party and let's be sure to invite our classmates and teammates."
I decided to call a few classmates. I decided to call Melissa about the party. On the first try, she picked up. "Hey, Madi!" Melissa said. "Long time. Huh?" "Yeah." I said. "Softball has gotten me busy."
"Yeah." She said. "I heard about the tournament win and... You know." "Oh shush." I said. "I couldn't control it. So, anyways. Want to come to a Christmas Eve party I'm hosting?"
She thought for a minute. "Yeah." She said. "Of course. I don't get back to cheer until after vacation." "Great." I said. "Perfect. I don't have another dome game until January."
"Well, I'd love to come." She said. "Let's talk about it when we get back to school on Monday." "Okay." I said. "Well, I have to go. It was nice talking to you." "Same here." Melissa said. "Bye, Madi." She hung up.
