Chapter 5

We were on our way to my parent's house. It was a 30 minute ride from the airport. Lauren was anxious to see her grandparents she loved them alot but the dog was her main priority. She was a bit jumpy startled by everything that happened even by a touch on the shoulder probably because of what happened with her earlier. "I'm so glad to be home" I said as I leaned on Joshs' shoulder. "Me too" he said kissing my forehead.
We got to my house not long after that.
"Gary come Jen and Josh are here" said my mom
"Hey Karen" said Josh leaning in to hug her
"Oh Josh it's so nice to see you" she said smiling
"I missed you so much sweetheart" she said
"I missed you more momma" I said not wanting to let go of her arms my mom was always comforting no matter how bad any situation was, a hug from my mom would always make it better. Even if I was a grown woman, my mom never failed to comfort me.
"There's my baby" said my dad coming inside from the yard
"I missed you dad" I said
"I missed you too babygirl" he replied
"Lauren baby do you want to see Pablo?" Said my dad
"Yes please I got him some toys" she said smiling
"Well then let's go he's out in the yard why don't you go play with him a bit?" He said.
"Now let's get you guys settled" said my mom
We went and got settled then ate lunch.
"So mom, dad Josh and I have a surprise for you guys" I said
"Oh really" said my mom
"What is it?" said my dad
"Well you see Josh and I thought that you might want to see this" I said taking out the ultrasound picture from my purse.
"Oh my god Jennifer another little angel" said my mom
"This is amazing sweetheart you both are amazing parents to Lauren I'm sure this baby on the way will be very loved and cared for"
"Of course Gary" replied Josh smiling at the picture
"How many weeks are you Jen?" asked my mom
"Well today's Thursday so Saturday I'll be 9 weeks"
"That's wonderful so it'll be around 8 more weeks until you can tell what he or she is" said my mom
"Yup" said Josh
"I personally have a feeling it's a boy" said my dad
"Well as long as it's a healthy baby it doesn't matter what it is" said my mom
"Of course" said my dad in agreement
We laughed and caught up. We watched a couple of movies, ate dinner and then went to bed Lauren slept in my old room and Josh and I slept in the guest room.
"You sure you're okay sleeping here?" I asked
"Yeah mommy I like your old room" she smiled
"Alright sweet dreams baby" I said tucking her into bed
"Goodnight sweetheart" said Josh kissing her on the forehead
"Goodnight" she replied yawning

Josh-

Jen and I changed into our pyjamas. "Goodnight" said Jennifer almost asleep
"Goodnight" I said giving her a peck
I watched her sleep she looked beautiful with no makeup how peacefully she slept was adorable "I love you Jennifer Shrader" I said enjoying my arms wrapped around her.
