Chapter 7 ~ Missing

It has been around 26 hours since you had walked out.

You woke in a room, tied to a chair, you struggled.

'help' you shout, 'please, Tom, father?'

A woman walks in, the same one who you saw leaving the woods on the day you found the body.

'What do you want with me?' you say recoiling from her.

'you are the only witness' she said 'I will not kill you. Yet, I have use for you to draw out those after me'

You go white, scared and unsure. 'Please, let me go, you can back out of this, I will not tell anyo-' before you could say anything more you blacked out.

'inspector' Father Brown said coming into the police station 'you haven't seen (y/n)?' he asked.

'No' he said looking up 'what is she okay?' he asked a flash of worry crossing his face.

'she left yesterday and hadn't returned' Father Brown explained.

Immidiatly Tom stood up. 'Where was she last seen?' he asked, his hands running through his hair.

'she left after Ms Mccarthy, lady Felecia and sid scared her away with their words'

'damn' he said.

You wake up once more. Pulling against the ropes you try and move the chair towards the door, jumping with the chair. Getting to a window you see the country and the spire of Kembleford church in the distance.

Looking round the room there was no sign of any knife or lamp to break that would cut you free. 'Tom' you mumble before fainting once again.

Inspector Sullivan and father brown had been looking for your kidnapper, Sullivan grew increasingly scared for you. He had grown to love you dearly and wanted to save you from the kidnapper.

'Wake up' you heard a voice. 'Wake up'.

Your eyes flutter open to see the woman again. 'get up' she commands

You struggle but your hands are still tied. You stand.

'What do you want with me?' you shout

The woman doesn't reply and pushes you into a car. You struggle against the ties, trying to slip your hands out of them as she starts driving.

The car stopped, it was the lake in the woods, She grabbed you and pushed you towards the lake.

Struggling and kicking against the woman she was strong and unyielding.

'Help, help please!' you shout kicking her away.

'Stop!' you hear behind you and the woman. Behind you was Tom and the police, father brown in toe.

'Tom' you shout struggling against the woman.

'Don't come near me or I will push her into the water' the woman warns, pushing you closer to the icy lake. It was deep, very deep, there had been some who have drowned in this lake.

Tom lunged at the woman and she pushed you into the icy water.

You couldn't keep your head up from the water, as your hands where tied.

'(y/n)' you heard someone shout before arms went round you and dragged you out of the water.

You gasped and your hands where untied.

'(y/n)' the voice said, the person was rocking you, clinging to you.

'T-T-om' you stutter, opening your eyes to see Tom's petrified eyes, looking down at you.

'(y/n), your freezing' he takes of his jacket and wraps you in it. '(y/n) can you get up, we need to get you to a hospital'.

Tom helps you up and leads you to his car. 'Father get in the car' Tom calls.

You black out from lack of food and the cold.

You open your eyes, you stared up at the white ceiling and slowly got up.

'(y/n), your awake' Tom mummers, next to him was Father Brown, Ms Mccarthy, Felecia and Sid. 'Are you okay?'

'Yes, Im okay' you whisper.

He gently hugs you, holding you close to him.
