On the fateful day of your husband's arrest you where sitting trying to finish your book, you where half way through a sentence before you heard the door unlock and someone walking in, dropping the pen you looked round the mule post to see Tom.

You walked down the stairs, he was obviously upset 'What's wrong?' you ask gently.

You walk up behind him as he sits on the seat, the bottle of whiskey in his hand. 'I'm off the damn case' he moaned 'it was taken over by  Truman.'

He downed the whiskey and poured another glass. You sit on the sofa and look worriedly at him as he kept downing alcohol.

Suddenly the phone rung, Tom picked up and listened and soon put down the phone.

He groaned, 'I need to go to a small meeting with the new temp' he mummers, standing up wobbly.

'Do you think that is wise, seeing how much alcohol you have drunk?' you ask worriedly. 'anyway, I'm going to a small party soon, I have bene invited by Felecia, it's with the cheif constable but if you don't want me to go'

'I'm fine woman, do as you please' he says, picking up his hat and leaving.

You felt a little upset about his behaviour and what he called you. Putting that aside you decide not to go and wait for Tom so you could talk to him further.

An hour turned to two hours, which turned into three. You had made food and you sat waiting for Tom.

You smile as you hear a nock on the door, walking to it you open it to see. 'May I help you?' you ask, it was a ginger man with Sargent Goodfellow behind him.

'Yes' he said, 'I'm inspector Truman, your husband, Tom Sullivan has been arrested for murder, we want you in for questioning'.

You look at him shocked 'my husband would never kill anyone, I-I'

'Well he has, can you come with me' Truman said firmly.

You nod, seeing Goodfellow's worried face behind Truman.

You sit in the questioning room, you had just Finnished being interrogated by Trueman and the chief inspector.

'Can I see my husband?' you ask firmly

'Not at the moment' the chief inspector replied.

'I want to see my husband.' you say again, more demanding.

The chief inspector rolled his eyes but nodded and you walked out of the room to the little prison cell.

Truman opened the door 'You have 5 minutes' he says.

'(y/n)' he mumbles, standing and hugging you 'I have bene framed, I-I found him bleeding on the floor, I'm sorry I couldn't go home'

You hug him back, tightly 'I believe you, love' you whisper, tears in your eyes 'please, stay strong for me.' you say, stroking his hair.

'I want you to stay with your uncle (y/n), please' he mumbles 'you would be alone in the house, I can't protect you. If the murder comes for you, I wouldn't know what to do if' he buried his face onto your shoulder.

'I will if it will put your heart at ease' you mummer.

He started shaking in your arms.

'your time is up' Truman said, opening the door.

You let go of Tom and he sits back onto the metal bench and watched you leave.

'you will be called to testify evidence at the court hearing' Trueman stated.

You nod, hiding your tears. 'can I go?' You stifle.

Truman nods and you quickly walk to the vicarage.
