So I was trying to figure out how to say my first book was finished, and I didn't figure that out, but I did find out you can get stats on your stories!!
And that was cool, so I'm gonna like,,,,, tell you them
For engagement, the first category was completed reads by part. Usually it's somewhere around 50%, and I think that might be based off of if the orange bar goes all the way? In which case, that's fine because whenever I read stories, I rarely scroll all the way to the bottom.
But for part 44, it was only 9%. That was the one where the title's an all-caps keysmash and I'm complaining about my friends being annoying
The most votes I got on any part was 118 on part 6, which was "I am confusion" and it was about how I think I can't possibly asexual if I found someone,,,, *gasp* attractive
I've mostly grown out of that, so that's good :)
It said the least amount of votes I got was on part 116, and I only got 6 votes, but I was trying to find it (I didn't title with chapter numbers), but the lowest I could find around there was 10 votes on sweatshirts about stealing clothes.
It says I have 758 comments on part 115 but I couldn't find that, and it seems very wrong anyway? Maybe it's a glitch or something. To be honest, none of the comment numbers seem to match up with the chapters. I think one of my most commented chapters was probably Squish with 225 comments when I talked about a guy I liked and said he liked mint. There were 184 comments on that line. I still maintain that y'all have no taste but anywAYS. Also throwback to when I tried to have that forum thing and it only has 17 comments lmao
The next category is demographics, and this one is cool I think (partially because tiktok creators talk about their demographics and I low-key wanna become a tiktoker)
So for the age range, it's 44% 13-18, 29% 18-25, 4% 25-35, and 21% private. I think it's really cool that a third of people who have read this are over 18 because that makes it seem like I give helpful advice when in fact I have no clue what's going on. But I'm glad I was (hopefully) helpful!!
For gender, 67% are female, 28% are "private" (I assume most of y'all are envy and watt pad's just a dick and doesn't have an enby option) and 4% are guys. Maybe all the guys who read this are 25-35.
Then there's countries that people are from. THERE ARE PEOPLE FROM SIX CONTINENTS. That's really cool!!
Its ~45% from the US, ~5% from Canada, ~4% from Germany (I wasn't expecting that one), ~10% from the UK, and ~3% from South Africa. The lowest amount from any place is .235%, and South Africa has 2.353%, so using the extent of my math abilities, I think 10 people are from South Africa. There also people from Norway, Sweden, Finland, Lithuania, Poland, Belgium, The Netherlands, France, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Albania, Italy, Turkey, Iraq, Jordan, Israel, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Egypt, Libia, Nigeria, Ghana, Ethiopia, Kenya, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia (there are 4 people from Malaysia, which is wasn't expecting), Indonesia, The Philippines (there are 11, so that's very cool), Australia, New Zealand, Guyana, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, and Mexico.
A lot say only one person is reading from there, and I don't think there are actually people from everywhere I just listed because I'm sure at least someone said they're from somewhere they're not. That's still really cool though :)
The next category is story insights, and there's a little bar thing that says Beta? So I'm not sure if that's like a grade for my story or what, but yeah, it's there. You have to pay to get a full report, but it does grade my writing style, and it says I have a literary writing style. To quote wattpad, "This is an ideal writing style for those writing for more traditional publishing opportunities." So who knows? Perhaps I'll get this published
(I'm joking. We love representation and all, but I'm not about to completely expose myself)
The rest of story insights is advertising for me to pay 10 dollars for a full report.
Also, I really wish you could go live on wattpad.
