In the very first chapter I said aphobes aren't allowed. And I assumed that they probably wouldn't come to a very clearly ace book anyway, but if they did they could read that and turn back. BUT THEN
So some amount of time ago between now and ~2 weeks ago, some with the name, I shit you not, aphobe69 commented. And I of course thought this was satire because imagine being so dedicated you make a whole ass wattpad to be aphobic. Do you think they were on wattpad before and made a new page to be aphobic? Do you think they got wattpad because they wanted it and then when they had to make a username they were like well how about I go with "aphobe69"
"Oh yeah let me add that 69 at the end because of course the asexuals will become horribly uncomfortable at these two numbers because they,,,, they mean SEX!!!!!!!! And we all know asexuals literally combust whenever they hear anything about sex. I'm so smart. This really is the finishing touch to the perfect username."
Orrrr do you think they were like wattpad's a website, and I bet asexuals are on it, so let me go find it and make a profile called,,,, called fuckign aphobe69 so I can be aphobic.
Anyway, I found out they existed because they commented on one of my chapters!!
But before then, their bio is "real d*kes hate aces (demisexuals go to hell) and their location is "hell because of ace discourse" with 0 stories, 0 followers, and 0 following
They also have a very nice profile picture? It does say stop aces but it's a very nice graphic otherwise? Babe, your talents are wasted on aphobia. Become a graphic designer.
Alright so back to how I found out they existed. After ignoring the part where I told aphobes to stop reading, they actually proceeded to read. I know this because they went all the way to idk some part that was probably past chapter 30. It was the one called LGBT can be LGBTQIA+phobic and it was when I discovered LGBT people are (you'll never guess this) LGBTQIA+phobic.
See here's the thing. First they ignore me by continuing to read, but then they agree with me???? Because they comment "pansexuals don't exist and I hope you have a horrible life"
The "I hope you have a horrible life" really sends me because. They can't just stop at disagreeing. Nooooo. We're actually shitty people for thinking pansexuals exist. And it also sounds so awkward?? So many syllables?? Not just a bad life, but a horrible one.
So lovely @Warriorlife2 commented back (thank you because I didn't see it and I really appreciate that you responded), and two things they said were "Dude wtf?" and "Does it make you feel good (to do this)????" I'm saying these too because what our favorite wattpad user, aphobe69 answers has to do with that.
They go "Dude is misgendering me, so I think you should check your privilege. And yes it does make me feel good. It gets me off. ;)"
And see why I think this might be satire? Like who posts that unironically? THE IT GETS ME OFF ;). To give them credit, they succeeded in their goal (I think this was their goal) of making me uncomfortable, but I think most people would get at least a little uncomfy at the prospect of someone being turned on by being unnecessarily dickish on wattpad of all places.
You have the people who go on twitter, facebook, instagram, whatever to share their unwanted opinions, but I feel like going all the way to wattpad is a little extra? I mean go the extra mile, we're all about that maximum effort, but?????
In retrospect, it makes sense this gets them off because why else would they go all the way to wattpad to do it.
Also this reeks of My GeNdEr Is An ApAcHe AtTaCk HelIcOpTeR, and we don't really stan that :/
To recap, they somehow came to have the username aphobe69 along with a cute lil bio and location and graphic, and then they must have gone out of their way to find this story, and then read through it. Unless they skipped to that chapter specifically?? Those are the only two comments they commented. Anyway, they went out of their way to find this book, comment exactly once on one chapter and good ways through the book, and maybe continue, maybe stop reading there, and then they responded when someone replied to their comment.
