The weeks went by. With Johnny's platform, Mackenzie began to get recognized more and more for her singing. The video Johnny uploaded was up to 700K views with tons of positive comments. Seeing this made Mackenzie so happy. She was finally being recognized for her own talent - something Maddie could not do was sing. Well, she could but.. not too well.
Mackenzie woke up to the nice sound of birds outside her window. She rolled over and grabbed her phone from her nightstand. Woah! What happened? Kenzie's phone was blown up with both Twitter notifications and texts. Kenzie frantically opened her phone and clicked on a text from Johnny. It read: KENZIE! CHECK YOUR TWITTER! AAAAAA. With wide eyes, Mackenzie went to her Twitter account to find a tweet from.. no.. it couldn't be.. the one and only..
Mackenzie had to stop herself from screaming with excitement. The tweet message read: Hey Kenzie! Your sister sent me the video of you singing and you've got some mean vocals. We should record something together sometime. Let me know when you're available. -Sia
Wait.. Maddie did this? Kenzie rushed out of bed and ran downstairs to the kitchen. "Slow down honey! You don't want to step on Maliboo!" Melissa shouted as she ran past her. Kenzie laid eyes on Maddie who was sitting at the kitchen table. "MADS! You will NOT BELIEVE THIS! Sia! She - she - SHE TWEETED ME ASKING TO RECORD A SONG WITH ME!"
Maddie stared open mouthed at her sister. "KENZIE!" she yelled with excitement. "THIS IS HUGE!" The two sisters embraced with huge smiles plastered onto their faces.
"I couldn't have done this without you," Kenzie said, smiling at her sister. "Thank you, Maddie."
"Of course," Maddie beamed. "I'll always want to share the spotlight with you. Everyone has their own talents and gifts. You're a double threat, Kenz. Singer and dancer! But you definitely have loads of musical talent. I'm so proud of you."
