The seasons changed from fall to winter, winter to spring.  The ALDC went to its regular competitions, and so far Mackenzie had done four solos and had gotten second all four times.  She still hadn't proven to Miss Abby that she could be better than Maddie, but Mackenzie had better things to worry about.  She was worried about herself, not Maddie.  Besides, Abby had been treating her nice recently. Although second is "first to lose," Abby had been proud of Mackenzie's performances.

It all happened one day at home.  Mackenzie was sitting on the couch eating chips, while Maddie was next to her on twitter.  Maddie let out an excited squeal.

"What is it, Maddie?" asked Mackenzie.

"It-it's Sia! Sh-she tweeted me! She's asking if I would like to be in her music video for Chandelier!"

Mackenzie snatched her phone.  "Oh my God."

"Maddie what's wrong?" asked Melissa.  Mackenzie handed her her phone, and Melissa screamed.

"Mom!" muttered Mackenzie.  "Not so loud.  I get it.  Maddie gets the fame.  The favoritism.  The opportunities.  I'm just Mackenzie."

Last month, Maddie had been on a Disney show and met all of Mackenzie's favorite actors.  She was still jealous for that.

"Kenzie," said Maddie.  Mackenzie tried to get up, but Maddie pulled her down.  "We need to talk."

Melissa walked off awkwardly.  "I'm tweeting Sia back, okay Mads?"

"K Mom!" Maddie shouted back.  Maddie turned to face Mackenzie.  "Kenz.  Are you jealous? You've been acting odd around me ever since I've gotten these opportunities."

"Me? Jealous?" asked Mackenzie.  Maddie raised her brows.  "Okay Maddie.. I'm jealous.  You get the favoritism and fame.  You were on my favorite Disney Show and got to meet everyone! Now you'll be in a music video of Sia's! I love Sia.  It's just not fair for me."

"Mackenzie..."  Maddie pulled her sister in to a tight embrace.  "It's just a matter of time before you get opportunities.  You're younger, and still have a lot to learn, and you have to mature a little more.  Thing is, I know you'll get opportunities sooner or later.  Abby loves you, and she's working on it." Maddie sighed.  "I'll pass up the Sia opportunity if it makes you feel any better."

"What?! Maddie! No way! I'm happy for you in a way.. I just wish sometimes I could get the opportunities and titles that you get! You're my inspiration.."

Maddie let go of Mackenzie and smiled broadly at her.  Mackenzie could see that tears formed in her eyes.  "Aww Kenz.. you really mean that?"

"Really," said Mackenzie.  The two sisters hugged again.  "Mackenzie, if you ever have problems because of my opportunities or just anything else... you can come to me, okay?"

"Thanks, Mads," whispered Mackenzie.  She felt a whole lot better.  "But I won't have too."

Maddie's face fell.  "Why not?"

"Because... I think I have an idea."
