When the night of the party arrived, I was a little nervous. I was shy when meeting new people, especially boys. David kept telling me all day long how much I would love the boys. I was really hoping he was right.
I was getting ready in my room blasting Queen when I heard a knock on my door.
"Come in," I yelled over the music.
"I didn't see you as a Queen type of girl Smalls," David said.
"And why is that a shock to you?" I asked, pulling my hair back into my bandanna.
"No clue, just is," he started, "Oh and by the way, Elle Keats who plays Sarah is coming tonight. Just thought I would let you know because I know how you hate to be the only girl in the room."
"Thanks for looking out for me," I giggled. I finished the last touch on my makeup and packed my bag. I looked at myself one last time in the mirror to make sure I looked okay. This is her fit by the way^^^^
"You look fine by the way," David breathed.
"Thanks Moscow. Let's go!"Oh look, a time jump. Are we surprised, nope.
When we got to Dom's place, he greeted us at the door.
"Davey, what's up man? You must be Brooke. It's nice to finally meet you."
"Hi, it's nice to meet you too," I answered shaking his hand.
"Come on in. I'll introduce you to everyone."
Surprisingly, we were one of the first people there. Whoever was there was chilling in the living room, having conversations of their on. I recognized one boy, Christian Bale. Wait, I didn't know he was in this cast.
"Everyone, this is Brooklyn Mitchell. She plays Ellie, Denton's daughter. That's Mark David, Micheal Goorjian, Trey Parker, Aaron Lohr, and Christian Bale," Dom said, pointing everyone out.
"Hi," I sorta whispered. God, where is this Elle girl. I can't take being the only girl here at the moment.
"So Brooke, David tells us you know French," the one I think's name is Mark said.
"Yeah I was born in France. Lived there until I was 5," I explained, sitting next to David.
"So how do you say 'You are a very beautiful lady?'" the one named Micheal asked.
"Vous êtes une très belle dame," I translated.
"Yeah so pretend I'm saying that to you," he implied.
"Micheal leave her alone. She just moved here and this is the first time she's meeting any of us," Aaron chimed in.
"No, it's okay. I'm used it by now," I mouthed 'thank you' to Aaron so he could understand that I appreciated him stepping in.
Through out the night, more and more boys started showing up. David introduced me to pretty much everyone. Still, there was no Elle Keats. Where the hell is she? Finally, when I thought she was never gonna show, she did.
"Well look who finally showed up!" Gabriel Damon sang.
"Sorry boys, fashion emergency. You wouldn't get it," she said. She sat down on the other side of David. A little too close if you ask me.
"Elle this is Brooke. She's playing Ellie, in case you didn't already know." Aaron introduced.
"Hi, it's nice to finally meet you," I said holding out my hand.
"Yeah," she sighed shaking my hand. I had a feeling this girl didn't like me, which is odd because we only just met.
"Anyways, so David do you have any plans after the party?" she questioned.
"I was just gonna go home with Brooke," he replied.
"What a shame. I would invite you over, but you already have plans I see," she said giving me a dirty look. What is her problem?
"Maybe another time Elle," he said smiling.
The rest of the night Elle talked to David, and David only. Why was this pissing me off so bad? Obviously, she had a thing for him, I could see and also understand that. David was a nice boy, but she just gave me a bad vibe.
"I know what you're thinking right now," I didn't even notice Christian come up to me when I was refilling my drink.
"Is she this flirtatious with every boy she meets?"
"I don't think so, but than again, I haven't know her for that long. She's always around David and when she's not, that's all she talks about."
"I don't know why I'm this upset over her. It's not like I like David; we're just friends. Plus, if he digs her, which maybe he does, I can't tell yet, I should be happy for him, right?"
"I don't think he's that into her honestly. Or at least not as crazy as she is for him from what I can see. Besides, he only talks about a certain someone in that type of why, if you know what I mean," he said winking and walking off.
I couldn't tell what he meant by that. I thought on it. Maybe I did have feelings for him after all. A part of me didn't want that to happen. I kept telling myself, "Brooklyn snap out of it. If you were to date and break up, think about how that would ruin your friendship. It would never be the same." Yet at the same time, I couldn't stop thinking about David.
