Your eyebrows furrowed as you felt yourself falling into the epitome of frustration. Your hand gripped the end of your mechanical pencil as you once again erased the previous answer from the question that seemed to be doing nothing but taunt you. A small groan escaped your lips as you read over the question a few more times to see if you were actually reading Japanese. Slowly, you read the question outloud to see if you could actually comprehend it.

"If y = kx, where k is a constant, and y = 24 when x = 6, what is the value of y when x = 5?"

You sighed as you opted to just skip the question and answer it later when you felt a flick on your forehead. You looked up to the culprit, only to find Kuroo grinning down at you.

For the past few weeks, he's been visiting you in your classroom every time the girls had to go to their clubs during lunch, and every time it was the same question.

"Have you seen any clubs that you might be interested in?"

You sighed as you looked at Kuroo with the same facial expression you've been giving him every time the question popped up. He frowned a bit before sitting down in front of you. He looked over at your work before closing your textbook where you were currently solving problems. You were about to argue against him when he put your things in your bag for you and swung it over his shoulder. He adjusted the strap of your backpack before taking your wrist and pulling you out of your seat.

"H-Hey! Where are we going! Kuroo!"

He stopped walking and turned around to face you. Kuroo towered over you as he looked at you in the eye.

"It's a secret."

-

The secret slowly unveiled itself as you once again found yourself sitting on the bench in Nekoma's third gym. Kuroo had blessed you by actually changing in the locker room and not in front of you. You looked around as the gym was ready and waiting for the boys to come out. You took this time to start to debate whether you'd make your grand escape to continue your work from earlier or stay and watch the team as a way to give yourself a break.

You opted for the second option.

You waited patiently as the boys slowly started to come out. It was then that the coaches walked in to get started. As they both walked in, both coaches noticed you sitting at the bench clenching your bag to your chest. They noticed you observing the equipment out on the court and analyzing them one by one.

You were so focused that you didn't notice Coach Naoi sit next to you. His chuckle snapped you out of your focus and you let out a small yelp in response.

"Didn't mean to startle you (L/N)."

"It's fine, usually you and Coach Nekomata come in after the guys start."

He chuckled once again before looking over at Nekomata who took a seat next to Naoi. The locker room door opened and the boys came out.

"Alright," said Nekomata. "Let's start today's practice."

"Yes!"

-

Rin rounded the corner of the hallway as she was following Kuroo. She wanted to ask him if she could watch their practice today. Since last year, Rin has been begging not only Kuroo and his team, but also the coaches to be their manager; over and over again they'd tell something along the lines of,

"We don't need one right now."

She glanced at where Kuroo was going and she noticed that it was the familiar hallway where she saw the (H/C) tresses girl a few weeks ago. She sneaked towards the door and took a peak inside. There you were, biting the end of your mechanical pencil as Kuroo sat in front of you, watching you as your eyebrows furrowed at the words on the textbook.

She saw how Kuroo flicked your forehead and laughed at your face when you whined about it.

Then she heard it. The one question that set her off.

"Have you seen any clubs that you might be interested in?"

'What the hell?'

Rin immediately backed away from the door when she saw Kuroo put your things in your bag and drag you out of the class. She hid around the corner and waited to see if he'd take you to where she could only hope Kuroo would take her to.

Kuroo passed by without noticing her, you behind him as you blabbered out excuses.

She ran towards the opposite way of the hallway, turned a sharp right, and went down the stairs as this was the shortcut to the third gymnasium. Rin hid behind a bush and waited for you and Kuroo to appear.

And you did.

With a dull expression, she climbed out of the bush and was about to walk away when she saw the two coaches. She hurried to fix her expression.

"Hello, Coach Nekomata and Coach Naoi!"

Naoi sent a smile to Rin while Nekomata only sighed.

"I'm sorry Rin, but we're not in need of a manager right now. Maybe next year, yeah?"

Rin nodded before walking away.

Her chirpy face falling into one of jealousy.

-

"So, how was lunch?"

You were walking with Tsubaki as you both rounded the corner to your class.

"Less straining than physical education. My legs hurt..."

Tsubaki laughed as she subtly flexed the fact that she was okay due to her being on the softball team. As you both made it to the entrance of your classroom, you noticed how some students in your grade from the advanced and regular classes piled up to see the inside. It wasn't until one of the girls in front of you turned around and saw you, immediately telling her classmate in front of her, who also told the people in front of him of your presence. Slowly, the crowd started to part as a way to let you get through.

The atmosphere was so silent you could hear a small pebble fall on the floor. When you made it inside the classroom, your eyes widened in shock as you saw what was written across the entire blackboard.

(Y/N) IS A GOOD FOR NOTHING, BOY STEALING BITCH!

Hurriedly, you grabbed the eraser and attempted to get rid of the vulgar message. Tsubaki grabbed two and started to help you while Haruka told the people outside the classroom to leave.

You felt your heart rate pick up and a hard lump form in your throat as you blinked away the tears that threatened to escape.

You felt a tap on your shoulder and you turned to see that it was Kenma.

"You go sit, I'll clean it with Tsubaki."
