Moving Forward

Sarah's P.O.V.

Gulping down my water bottle, draining it in a few seconds down my throat, I can feel the cool liquid dripping into my stomach.  "Ah, that was one heck of a rehearsal, huh Cherry?" I turned to my side.

"Yeah Sarah, you were like a pro out there!"

"Hmm?" I lifted my brow at her.

"Mmmhmm," she nodded. "You were so in character Wifey! Almost like you really were crushing on me." She teased, as she squished her face together with her hands.

I turn away looking cheekily as I rub the back of my neck. "Well, it was something like that."

"What do you mean?"

"How are you with gossip?"

"Don't care for it unless it's my friends talking about their day." She shrugs her shoulders, looking away a bit shyly.

"Hmm.... how 'bout crushes?" As soon as the word crushes came out of my eyes, she turn with wide glistening eyes, then she grabbed my shoulders shaking me a bit. 

"Why didn't you tell me!" She shrieked. "Well? Come on tell me!" She shook me once more, except a bit faster. 

"Okay, okay." I grabbed her hands and gently removed them to hold them instead. " I'll tell you, where do I begin?"

"Then we took forever to say goodbye." I finished while looking upwards a bit dazed, face feverishly red, and eyes a bit droopy.

"Whoa, that sounds amazing Fondy!"

"Hmph Fondy?"

"Uh ye-yeah?"She faced the other way, blushing a bit nervously.

"I. Love. It! I've been trying to get Eve to give me a nickname, and possibly J.J as well." Mumbling that last part.

"Eve?" 

"Huh?

"You said Eve."

"Oh! Eve! Yes my best friend Evelyn!"'

"Evelyn... man this anime just continues, and I'm all for it!" I swear I could see stars form in her eyes.

"I am shock and appalled at myself for not mentioning her one bit, I have so much to say!"

"Ugh!" I groaned groggily as I open the door to my apartment. "Checks! Daddy's home." Walking in I closed the door, locking it as I walked to the kitchen and head for the dog food. Checker walks towards me with his tongue sticking out, barking once, then twice as I pour him his food, finishing it. "Great, looks like I'm going to the store tomorrow." My stomach thought it was a good time to growl. "Ugh, I really don't feel like cooking." I glared before noticing their was a single piece of kibble left.

"........."

 I look towards Checker to see him basically glaring at me like I was ridiculous. 

"I....I wasn't actually going to do it, have more faith in me Checks!" I turn in mock offense..... only to grab the piece of kibble and plopped it in my mouth.

"........... Not so bad.... after a few bites and bits of stomach vile." I turn back to see Checker still looking at me. "What? I'm not going to steal from you, stop looking at me like that! 

"......"

"Fi-fine! I'll do something else!" I turn my head to the side and stare at a clock.

"Hmm," I reach into my pocket and grab my phone, pulling it out and typing a number before holding it by my ear.

"Evening."

"Hey Eve, I was wondering if you wanted to go to Walter Smiths and Andrew Kim's cafe, I'll pay." I felt my lips go upwards.
