The school day went on like any other, students buzzed about the first rounds of the try-outs with either chest-rising pride or a sulky tone. (y/n), however, felt perplexed-- especially after seeing Kakashi out of nowhere and listening to Ino's words. In attempts to brush it under the rug, (y/n) convinced herself that the blonde beauty was trying to get under her skin. There was a nagging feeling that kept pulling at her, though; it told her to listen to Ino and dive deeper. She didn't want to be associated with her because the fear that it might all be a prank. It was so sudden that suspicions couldn't help but arise in (y/n)'s conscience.

After their showdown, Ino stood out in crowds more, (y/n) noticed. Instead of a rude stranger, Ino was now mysterious acquaintance to the (h/c)-haired girl. The day droned on like a blur, as teachers tried to cram information into their students' developing brain and as students blocked out the monotonous voice of their teacher. The newest "it" topic of the day were the fights, and it was no surprise to (y/n) that her fellow female peers were gossiping about how well Sasuke fought.

The bell rang throughout the institution; the student body basically trampled over each other in order to leave the wretched place. (y/n) walked along side Sasuke silently, they both had one Airpod in their ears. "Your music sucks," Sasuke commented with his hands stuffed in his pockets.

She ignored him by bobbing her head to the beat while she lip-synced the words: Shawty like a melody in my head that I can't keep out. (y/n) threw in a little dance that made Sasuke shake his head and question why he found it cute.

The deadpan look he constantly shot her made her furrow her brows. "Like your music is better. I bet you listen to mumble rap," She assumed with a mocking tone.

"No, that would be stupid... like you. My music is better than yours," Sasuke countered.

"Fine then, prove me wrong. Put on one of your songs," (y/n) giggled, clutching the straps of her backpack.

With the new-granted permission, he unlocked his phone and switched the music on Spotify. "The future is bulletproof!" A man chanted with a guitar riff in the background.

"My Chemical Romance?"

"Yeah, you got a problem with it?" Sasuke questioned, readying the quick comeback when (y/n) says, "Yes."

To his surprise, she didn't say anything of the sort. "No," She admitted. "It just brings me back." Sasuke pushed the glass doors open for both him and (y/n), it was common courtesy after all. Too bad most boys have fragile masculinity and believe that being polite equals being a weakling.

(y/n) inhaled the fresh air, sneezing because of the sun exposure. "Bless you," Sasuke mumbled out of instinct.

"Thanks," She responded while she recited the lyrics inside her head. "Should we wait for Naruto?" They both walked towards the back of the school yard, where the bicycle stands were implanted in the concrete. A pale (color), mommy bike leaned against the metal pole with a flimsy lock wrapped around it.

"No, Kakashi-Sensei, Naruto, and Sakura all planned something," The Uchiha informed, flinging his backpack off of his shoulder. He unzipped the black bag and pulled out a blue-painted penny board. Sasuke placed the orange-wheeled board on the ground beside (y/n)'s bike.

She swiftly unlocked the lock using her chakra and slipped her backpack into the steel metal basket in the front. Kicking back the stand, (y/n) guided her mode of transportation away from the racks. She threw her leg over the seat then mounted it. "And you didn't go because?"
