The sun shines brightly over a beautiful island, it shines over the trees and mountain, causing a beautiful glow to overwhelm the area. In front of the Island is an old dock, filled with cracks and creaking lightly under the weight of the man standing on it. The man's black hair shined in the light and his dark eyes gleamed with some sort of secret that only he knew.
"Yo!" he introduced cheerfully. "We're coming at you live from Camp Wawanakwa, somewhere in Muskoka, Ontario. I'm your host, Chris Mclean. Dropping season one of the hottest new reality show on television, right now!" He walked a little bit closer to the left of the dock and continued to speak. "Here's the deal, twenty-three campers have signed up to spend eight weeks here at this crummy old summer camp. They'll compete in challenges against each other, then have to face the judgment of their fellow campers. Every three days, one team will either win a reward or watch one of their team members walk down the Dock of Shame, take a ride on the Boat of Losers, and leave Total Drama Island, for good!"
He took a breath and began to explain the new area shown to the audience. "Their fate will be decided here, at the dramatic campfire ceremonies where each week, all but one camper will receive a marshmallow. In the end, only one will be left standing and will be rewarded with cheesy tabloid fame and a small fortune," He pulled out a huge treasure chest filled with different treasures. "Which let's face it, they'll probably blow in a week. To survive, they'll have to battle black flies, grizzly bears, disgusting camp food, and each other! Every moment will be caught on one of the hundreds of cameras situated all over the camp. Who will crumble under the pressure? Find out here right now on... Total Drama Island!"
The Cameraman called out a break while the boats began to arrive and Chris brushes imaginary dust off his blue button-up and khaki-green pants. As the first boat began to arrive Chris got ready to introduce the first people.
"Welcome back to Total Drama Island." He said. "All right, it's time to meet our first eleven campers. We told them they'd all be staying at a five-star resort, so if they seem a little T.O.ed, that's probably why."
The first boat pulled up and a short girl with bulky black glasses and a ponytail stepped onto the dock. She wore a green shirt and pink pants with what looked like a girl scouts sash over her body. "Beth, what's up?" Chris asked.
"It's so incredulous to meet you. Wow, you're much shorter in real life." Beth exclaimed, much to Chris' dismay. He continued on anyway as the next boat moved up to drop off the next camper.
"Uh, thanks. D.J" Chris introduced as a larger black man with kind eyes and a moss green shirt walked over to him, giving him a high-five.
"Yo, Chris Mclean." D.J said. "How's it going? Hey, you sure you got the right place here? Where's the hot tub at?" he looked around the campgrounds, feeling disappointment and confusion.
"Yo, dawg, this is it. Camp Wawanakwa."
He humphed, "Looked a lot different on the application form."
The next boat came and went, dropping off a goth girl with blue streaks in her hair and an unpleasant look on her face.
"Hey, Gwen"
"You mean we're staying here?" She exclaimed, upset.
"No, you're staying here. My crib is an airstream with A.C. That-a-way" Gwen became angry and exclaimed, "I did not sign up for this!"
"Actually you did," Chris explained pulling out her contract only for Gwen to rip them up quickly, throwing them into the water.
"The great thing about lawyers is... they make a lot of copies," Chris said.
"I'm not staying here."
"Cool," Chris announced. "I hope you can swim though because your ride just left."
