CHAPTER 14 - GAME ON

GAME ON

I was biking on my way to the game when suddenly someone called me from behind "bailey, bailey, bailey!" grace run forward to stop me from biking "whoa, easy grace whats going on?" i said frowning

"someone told us that your going to play today? Wait, why arent you dress yet?" she said hastily "who told you that? Im not playing yet" i told her confused "what?! why not?" tom asked "so you're really gonna join the team then?" emily added beaming then "YEAH!" they said in unison

"shhh... quiet you guys!" I said almost whispering and shook my head smiling "oh I can't wait to see you play OMG!" grace jumping in excitement "that's really great to hear but why not play today?" Tom asked "I'm just... not ready yet to be exact" I shrug and he nods "did you and coach talk about it?" Emily asked "nope, maybe after the game" while walking Jake waved at us from parking lot.

Sitting in the bleachers with my friends on the busy crowd I saw that the Falcon teams already arrived and taking their pre-game warm ups right up until the start of the game same with Tigers team. I looked over to Jake's team and notice that Caleb was sitting on the bench with coach beside him watching and talking with a small board on his hand.

"yeah go tigers! make us proud this time!" grace yelled waving her big #1 foam finger proudly "whooo yeah tigers!" Tom added with a poster board "LETS GO Tigers, Northwood for the Win!" written on it "I can't believe where sitting with this two" Emily shake her head eating her popcorn "but I might as well join them next game wearing a T-shirt with your name on it" she added winking at me and i stole some popcorn that she's holding "hey go get your own!" she chuckled.

"Go Fight, Go Win, Go! Go! Go Tigers!" northwood cheerleaders scream and shout while dancing with the band for tryout, they spin and do the triangle formation "Lets go Falcons, Lets Go!" WestHigh cheerleaders yells loudly from the other side. The crowd go crazy in the court when they announced that the game was about to start.

The fans cheers and chants to support of their teams, well... us included. My eyes wide all of a sudden when David notice me from the crowd, he look at me intently for 3 seconds and winked beamingly while dribbling the ball, i blink too much with a shock suddenly all of his teammates stares to the same direction, i quickly hide my face in the crowd so no one will notice.

Gladly no one did "Oh no... this cant be good, oh god!" i mumbled and massage my temple "whats wrong?" emily asked, concerned in her face "oh nothing" i lied her brows furrowed.

The game starts, Alex got the ball and passed it 5 times to each of their team landed lastly to kyle dribble towards to their basket and scored. And the ball goes to the opposing team but fails to attempt to score.

"28-32"

of course tigers made it so far for winning this time, northwood fans keep cheering but suddenly crowd goes wild from the other side when david and his best team plays defensive and manage to steal the ball from the tigers, while david escaping from tigers and has his best shot positively. He scored! My eyes grows wide when he pointed at me reading his lips "thats for you"

WTF!!!

I turn immediately before they notice and pretend to look as well from my back just the same as the people in front of us staring to... NO ONE THEY CAN FIND! I sighed heavily at least i tried to hide myself from this embarassing moment before they make me the enemy of our school.

"I saw that" emily whispered before i respond she squeezes my hand comforting me "is this bad?" i whispered back "well at this time yes but you guys are still friends though" she winked at me and i smiled at her leaning my face in her shoulder "need to pee" i said rushing to the toilet room
