BRING! Finally 2:00! The school day was over! I ran to my locker and grabbed all my books and stuffed them in my bag. I went Paige's locker then we went to Josh's and finally left school. We walked down our street so Paige and I ran to my house while Josh ran to his. I changed into my ALDC crop top and black booty shorts and put my team jacket, leggings, and UGGS on over. Paige came out wearing the same thing. We grabbed our dance bags and ran downstairs. "Ready mom!" I shouted. "Ok get in the car!!!" She yelled back. Paige and I sprinted for the car and crawled in. Brooke came in shortly after. "Hey girlies!" She greeted. "Hey Brookie!" I waved. "Hey babe." Josh said sitting right between Paige and I. "I'm not your babe." I said pushing him off the seat. "You know you want me." He smirked. "No I don't." I scowled. "Josh get off the floor!" Kelly scolded as she slid into the passenger seat and my mom slid into the drivers seat. "Let's go!" Paige and I whined in unison. We burst into giggles. About 5 minutes later we arrived at the ALDC. We ran in and realized we were 30 minutes early. I decided to work on my solo. Then the trio, then the duet, and then the group. I nailed my solo and I heard loud claps. I turned and saw Abby. "You worked hard last night didn't you?" She asked. I nodded. "That's my girl." She said hugging me. We did the trio and Abby tweaked it. We did the duet and Abby decided to add a kiss. Wonderful. (Notice the sarcasm.) I checked the time and saw class didn't start for another 10 minutes. I decided to start my science homework. I got to the 5th question before a girl about a year younger then Mackenzie walked up to me. "Hi!" I greeted. "Hi! I'm Asia!" she waved. I smiled. "I'm not supposed to say this but I'm gonna dance with you guys at the competition on Saturday!" She whispered. "Welcome to the ALDC!" I smiled. "Thanks!" She hugged me. I hugged her back then Kenzie walked in. "Asia." She said crossing her arms. "Mackenzie." Asia said mocking her tone. "I missed you!" They yelled at the same time and hugged each other. "Asia!" Abby barked. Asia scurried away. "Hey Chlo." Kenzie said sitting next to me. "Hey girl." I said side hugging her. Maddie rushed in. Abby walked back in and sent Asia upstairs. "Ms. Abby I'm so sorry I'm late for my private! I had so much homework and I had to finish my essay before I came and-" she started but got cut off. "No excuses!" Ms. Abby barked and walked away. So Maddie does get extra privates! Oh well. Maddie looked like she was gonna cry. "Maddie it's ok." I said getting up and hugging her. She hugged me back and cried into my shoulder. Kk arrived. "The party has arrived!" She announced doing a cart-wheel. I hugged her and sat back down. I sighed. "What's wrong Chlo?" Kendall asked sitting down next to me. "Boy stuff." I sighed. "Same." Kendall sighed. "With who?!" I asked excitedly. "None ya beeswax!" Kendall laughed. "I will get it out of you." I said pointing a finger at her. "Nope!" Kendall said popping the 'p'. I giggled and we started to stretch. "GIRLS LETS GO!" Abby yelled. We stood up and lined up. "Ok girls. We have a 10 year old joining us for this weeks competition. Please welcome Asia!" Abby announced. We all clapped and Asia skipped in. "Ok Asia and Kenzie have a duet! It's jazz and I will be working on it first! Also is like to announce that drumroll please!" Abby announced. We all slapped our knees until Abby announced "Mack Z will have a music video!" We all cheered and hugged Mackenzie. "Ok moms dismissed! Asia and Mack Z start warming up. Everyone else do homework or practice!" Abby ordered. We ran out of the studio and I grabbed my phone. I took a selfie with Kendall and posted it. I wrote 'at ALDC and hanging with this awesome gal @kk22xo!' As the caption. I posted it and instantly comments flooded my phone. Most read 'where's josh?' Or 'cosh!!' Some read 'aw cute! BFFs!' And stuff like that. "Trio!" Abby yelled. We scurried in and started the dance. "Brooke can you help them with their 'scorpions' tonight?" Abby asked Brooke after we finished. "Sure!" Brooke agreed peppily. "Alright that's all! Chloe go get a drink and bring in Josh!" Abby said shooing us out. I got my water bottle took a few gulps and went over to Josh who was working on the science homework. "Hey!" He said looking up. "Hey! Abby wants us!" I said setting down my water bottle. "Ok let's go!" Josh said putting away his homework and gabbing my hand as we walked to 'A'. "The cute couple has arrived!" Abby announced. I giggled at her comment and Josh kissed my cheek. "AWWW!" We heard the moms coo from the viewing room. My cheeks turned red and I looked down. "Ok let's start!" Abby clapped. We ran the dance and it was a little shaky. When we finished Abby had a devious look on her face. Uh oh! "You two have no chemistry. Last week it was amazing! But I feel like you don't trust Josh anymore." Abby said looking between us. "Well how do we fix that?" Josh asked. "I'm sending you two on a date after class. " Abby said proudly. My eyes grew wide. "Where?" Josh asked. "You two pick. Your moms can go with but can not interfere. Now go tell your mothers. Do not ask, tell!" Abby said pushing us towards the door. Josh grabbed my hand and dragged me up the stairs. "Mom!" I called. "Mom!" Josh called. "Yeah guys?" My mom said when we reached the top of the stairs. We walked over to them. "So uh I will be taking Chloe on a date after dance." Josh nervously said. "AWW!" Melissa, Holly, Jill, and Kirstie cooed. "This is sudden!" My mom said looking at me. "Ms. Abby is making us." I said defending myself against the fact I don't want to do this. "Then you have to go." My mom sighed. "Why?" I whined. "Because like she said during pyramid yesterday you are her number 1 kid! You can't let her down." My mom sighed again. "Well isn't anyone on the top her number one kid for the day?" Melissa scoffed. "Does she ever say it?" My mom said looking at Melissa angrily. "Well at the end of the day we know Maddie will always be the favorite!" Melissa said getting madder by the word. "How do you know? Because Chloe is just as good as Maddie!" My mom screamed. "No she isn't! Chloe is no where near Maddie's talent range!" Melissa screamed. I started to cry and Josh wrapped his arms around me. A camera came right up to my crying face. Holly and Jill brought us downstairs to the dancers den because Kelly and Kirstie started defending me. I was crying hysterically by now. I could still hear them screaming. Jill hugged me tight as I sobbed. "Shhh honey. She doesn't mean it. She's just jealous...." She whispered in my ear. Abby ran into the den from her office. "Why is she crying?" She asked Josh. "We were telling our moms about the date and Ms. Christie said 'you have to go your her number 1 kid and you can't let her down.' So Ms. Melissa got mad about Maddie not being number 1 and yelled at Ms. Christie about how Chloe is no where near Maddie's talent range. And Chloe started crying." Josh explained. Abby sped up the stairs and cameras followed her. Jill went to get me some tissues, and Holly went and told the other girls. I was still crying a little so Josh embraced me in a warm hug. He smells like pine trees. Sure it's not important to right now but he does! I broke away from Josh and all the girls came running in and wrapped me in a huge hug. Melissa stormed downstairs. "Maddie! Let's go! They're just jealous of you! Mackenzie you stay! Maddie go!" Melissa fumed. "I don't want to go!" Maddie whined. "Fine! I'll come later to pick you girls up! I'm not coming inside though." Melissa huffed as she stormed away. "Ok. Chloe do you want a few minutes to cool off and relax?" Abby asked me. I nodded. "Ok. Go upstairs and sit with your mom." Abby said giving me a hug. I went upstairs and when I saw my mom I started to cry harder. I ran to her and cried into her shoulder. Kelly rubbed my back soothingly. "Chlo you ok? Ms. Kelly asked. I took a few deep breaths to steady my breathing to respond. "Why would she say that?" I asked no one in particular. "Because she's mad that Maddie isn't the favorite anymore." Kirstie sighed. My mom handed me a tissue and I cleaned up and headed back to the den. "What are they working on?" I asked Paige. "Maddie's solo." Paige said hugging me. I nodded. Paige got up to go to the bathroom. Someone put their hands over my eyes. "May I help you?" I asked the mystery person. "Can I have a kiss?" The now not so mysterious person asked. "No Josh." I sighed. I heard him cough 3 times which is our signal for 'cameras are coming'. "May I have a kiss?" He asked again still covering my eyes. "Gee I can't see you so I really don't know." I smirked. He removed his hands from my face for me to see the cameras right in front of me. Josh picked me up and turned me to face him. He puckered up and I kissed his cheek. I smirked again and skipped away. "Chloe! Solo time!" Maddie said running in. "Ok!" I chirped. "I'm sorry about earlier." She whispered hugging me. "It's ok. It's not your fault." I whispered hugging her back. I walked into 'A' and started my solo. Abby stopped the music midway. "Did I do my turn sequence wrong?" I asked. "No you were perfect. You pointed your feet, you used emotion, you danced from your soul. You are an example of perfection." Ms. Abby said hugging me. I blushed. "Ok let's restart it and finish it." Abby said rewinding the music. I got into my starting position and nailed my dance. Abby clapped and called everyone for the group. Soon it was 5:30. "Alright! Class dismissed Josh, Chloe wait up." Abby dismissed. "Yes Ms. Abby?" I asked. "I'm sending some of the camera crew on your date." She said motioning towards the camera crew packing up the equipment. "Yes ma'am." I obeyed. "Alright have fun!" Abby said packing up her computer. Josh and I walked to the den. "So where should we go?" He asked. "FunSpot!" I squealed. (Not sure if there's one in Pittsburgh but oh well!) Josh sighed. "Really?" He asked. "Yes!" I said jumping. "Ok fine." He sighed. "Yay!!!" I said hugging him. I noticed cameras were around. I kissed his cheek. I could feel him smiling. "Alright let's go get changed and then we'll go!" Josh said breaking away from the hug. I nodded and got my dance bag. We ran to the no camera zone. "I don't have a nice clothes." I told Josh. "Neither do I." He sighed. I ran to my dressing room. "Hey Jude!" I yelled. "Yeah?" She asked from behind a rack of clothes. Yes! Jude is my wardrobe assistant. "Abby is making me go on a date with Josh so can you help me pick something out?" I asked. "I'd love to!" She squealed. I pulled out my phone and texted Josh.
Me:hey! Go to your dressing room and ask your wardrobe person for an outfit!

I quickly changed into a pair of black skinny jeans, a cream long sleeve shirt, a dark red beanie and matching infinity scarf and boots. I straightened my hair, put on some lip gloss and grabbed my bag. I thanked Jude and went outside to find Josh waiting on the couch. He was wearing a checkered shirt and cargo pants. His hair was spiked up with gel. He looked cute. "Ready?" He asked. "Yep!" I says popping the 'p'. "Well it took ya long enough!" He said jokingly. "This," I said referring to myself, "doesn't happen in 10 minutes." I laughed. "Well this," he said mocking my reference, " does happen in 10 minutes." He mocked. I rolled my eyes and we walked to the car that was taking us on our date. A LIMO! "Abby sure outdid herself this time." Josh muttered. "She probably thought we were going somewhere fancier." I laughed. We got in and buckled up. "Where to? LeMont restaurant? Root 174?" The driver asked naming fancy restaurants. I looked at Josh and he rolled his eyes. "The nearest FunSpot please!" I smiled. The diver rolled his eyes and started driving. "Do you like your solo?" Josh asked me. "Yeah it's fun. A little challenging but fun." I answered. It was so awkward. Thankfully the car was to ourselves and not the camera crew and our moms. "Chlo?" Josh asked. "Yeah?" I said looking away from the window. "I want you to know that I'm really sorry about yesterday and I didn't mean to hit you. It was a complete accident and I hope you can forgive me because-" Josh started but I cut him off. I gave him a small kiss on the lips. "What was that for?" He asked me. "I know you didn't mean it. I know it was an accident and I over reacted. I'm the one that should be apologizing to you. So I'm sorry." I apologized. "It's perfectly ok. Does this mean we're together again?" He asked me hopefully. "Ask me at the end of our date!" I smiled as we pulled in to FunSpot. He smiled and pecked my cheek. "Let's go!" He said opening the door. "Thank you sir!" I thanked the driver as Josh held the door open. "And thank you." I said to Josh. He winked and we went to the ticket booth. "2 all activity passes please!" I asked the lady. "Here you go!" She said giving us our wristbands. The camera people payed and we went to the go karts. "I'm gonna cream you!" I said to Josh as we got in our go karts. "I don't think so princess!" He smirked and sped off. I caught up quickly and beat him in the end. We got out of the karts and I did a little dance singing "I beat you! Uh huh! That's right! You got beat by a girl!" Surprisingly Josh was being a really good sport about it. "Hey guys! You're doing great! We are gonna turn the cameras off for a few and we'll meet you at the boat race in 5!" Jim the videographer announced. "K!" We said in unison. "Ok well I'll cream you in the boat race." He challenged. "I don't think so!" I said crossing my arms and doing a bevel. "Let's raise the stakes." Josh smiled evilly. "How high?" I asked intrigued. "Loser gives winner a kiss. On the mouth!" Josh smirked. I hesitated. "You're on!" I challenged and ran to the boats. I heard Josh running behind me. I got to the boats a split second before Josh. "Chloe: 2! Josh: ZERO ZILCH ZIPPO NADA!" I cheered. "Real mature." Josh said rolling his eyes. I stuck my tongue out. He cocked his head at me and shook his head. "May as well own my immaturity!" I laughed. The cameras had been turned on and were filming that whole exchange. We hopped into our boats and started our water fight/race. I beat Josh! Again! "I let you win!" He claimed before I could say anything. He gave me the 'I'm-not-gonna-say-anything-about-the-deal-but-I'm-gonna-kiss-you' look. I know it's a weird look but still. I nodded. He leaned in and so did I. It was a small kiss but magical. I smiled and grabbed his hand. "What should we do now?" I asked. "Ferris Wheel?" He suggested. "Uh-" I started but Jim cut me off. "Perfect! Perfect romance scene!" Jim announced. "I'm deathly afraid of heights!" I argued. "It'll be perfect though! Josh can protect you!" Jim persisted. I was about to say something when Josh spoke up. "Common Chloe. It'll be fun. I'll protect you." He said squeezing my hand. "Fine!" I agreed. "Alright! Rolling!" Someone shouted. Josh and I ran to the line. "Josh I really don't want to do this." I said trembling in fear. "I got you. Don't worry." He reassured me. I gave him a worrisome look and took a deep breath. We got into our car and sat next to each other. Before we started moving a crew member put a mini camera on the table to film us. We started moving. I clung into Josh and buried my head into his shirt. He instantly started rubbing my back. The car stopped. "Are we done?" I asked from Josh's shirt. "No. We only moved a little." He informed me. "I'm scared." I whispered. "Don't be. I got you covered." He said lifting my head up from his shirt. "I don't like this ride." I pouted. "AWW is little Chloe sad?" Josh smirked. I slapped his arm. "Shut up." I laughed. The car started to move. I jumped and Josh wrapped his arm around my shoulders. I laid my head on his shoulder and took deep shaky breaths. "Hey. Chlo look over there. It's ok just think about that. Nothing else. Just the you, I, and the sky." Josh said pointing to the sunset. I realized we were at the top of the Ferris wheel and my eyes grew wide. Josh just stared at me. "What?" I asked. "Nothing." He smirked. "Why are you staring at me." I asked wiping my face even though nothing was on it. "No reason." Josh said still smirking. I rolled my eyes and we made our way back down. I closed my eyes the whole way down. I felt a pair of lips touch my cheek and I smiled. When the car stopped I slowly opened my eyes and got out. My phone buzzed. I pulled it out. My mom had texted me.
Mom💜: Chloe, you have 15 more minutes. You have homework and we will have guests over later. Also tell him after this Ms. Kelly is taking Paige and Brooke for privates so he'll be home alone.

"Josh your mom said after this Paige and broken have privates so you'll be home alone and we have 15 minutes left. What do you want to do?" I asked. "Your choice." Josh offered. "I want to play a game!" I grinned. "Ok let's go!" Josh said pulling my hand. We ran to the clown water balloon game. "And go!" The carny said. Josh beat me by a landslide. "Congratulations! Choose your prize!" The carny congratulated Josh. "The panda please." Josh chose. She handed it to him and he thanked her. We started walking to the tables where our mothers were when he stopped me. "Yeah?" I asked. "Here." He said handing me the panda. "Thanks." I said hugging the panda. "I named her Chloe because it's so pretty and soft and yeah..." Josh said nervously rubbing the back of his neck with his hand. "You just called me pretty." I smiled. "Well yeah!" Josh chuckled. I pecked his cheek and we headed towards the table. The camera crew just stopped filming and walked away. "Hey kids!" My mom greeted. "Hi!" I waved. "I have big news! We are moving next door to Chloe!" Ms Kelly announced. "Yay!" I squealed. "Awesome!" Josh smiled. "Did you have fun?" Ms. Kelly asked. "Yeah! First I creamed Josh in Go Karts then on the boats then we went on the Ferris wheel and then we played a game where Josh won me a panda!" I exclaimed still holding Josh's hand. "Well I'm glad you enjoyed yourselves!" My mom smiled. "Me too! Now let's go!" Ms Kelly laughed. We headed to our cars. We got in the limo and started driving home. "Yes." I said out of no where. "Yes what?" Josh asked. "Yes I'll be your girlfriend!" I smiled. "Really?" Josh asked. "Really!" I assured him. We smiled and were about to kiss when my phone rang. The caller ID read 'TayTay💖💖'. I showed Josh and he pulled up the privacy window. I answered. "Hey!" I greeted. "Are you around cameras?" Taylor asked. "No just Josh. He found out though. He spied." I giggled. "Well he told the tabloids!" Taylor yelled. "What?!" I screamed. "Yeah! The magazines have stories about it!" Taylor cried. "No!" I cried. "I have to go. I'll talk to you later!" Taylor hung up. "Babe what's wrong?" Josh asked when I put my phone down. "You!" I screamed. "What?" Josh asked. "You promised! You promised!" I cried. "I didn't do anything! I swear!" Josh defended. "Well no one else knows! And Paige has known forever so she wouldn't! But you! You liar!" I cried. We pulled into my driveway. I ran out. "Chloe! Chloe!" Josh called after me. He jumped out if the car and ran towards me but I had already gotten inside and locked the door. My mom was inside cleaning. "Mom!" I cried running for her. "What's wrong sweetie?" She asked hugging me. "Josh told someone!" I managed to get out. Josh pounded on the door. "Chloe! Chloe!" He yelled. Mom sighed. "Go talk to him." She sighed. "Why?" I asked. "Just go." She sighed. I sighed and walked outside. I opened the door to find a lifeless Josh in my driveway. "Josh!" I screamed. I ran towards him. "Josh please answer me!" I cried. Nothing. He was still breathing. "MOM!" I screamed. My mom ran out and called 911. Please wake up.
Josh POV
I was banging on Chloe's door trying to get her to answer but nothing happened. I kicked a tree in frustration. "Can't get her to come see your ugly face huh?" Carter and his gang appeared. "Shut up." I said wiping a year out of my eye. "Aw Josh is crying! Baby Josh!" Carter laughed. "Shut up." I said getting louder. "Baby Josh is angry!" Carter smirked. I was about to punch him when he and his gang started pounding me. Some were hitting my face, some hitting my gut, and some hitting my special place. "And you tell anyone about this, the same will happen to Chloe." Carter whispered and walked away. I started to feel light headed and I blacked out.
Chloe POV
"Josh! Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!" I cried while holding his hand. I heard the sirens of the ambulance. "Please move." A man instructed me. "I can't! I can't leave him." I argued. "Move!" He yelled. I stepped back and Josh got taken away on a stretcher. "Can I go with him?" I asked. "Yeah hop in." A lady said holding open the doors for me. "Thank you!" I thanked. I held Josh's hand. "If you can hear me, I love you. I know you didn't tell anyone my secret. I trust you. Don't leave me." I whispered. Don't leave me...
