Chapter 1💛

(y/n)'s POV

I woke up to a loud irritating noise repeating next to my ear. For most people this would be their alarm but for me, I was unfortunate enough to have my older brother Tetsurou wake me on my first day of high school. I turned to see him sat on the floor beside my bed humming so that it almost sounded like beebing.

"Tetsu what the heck?!" I lazily shouted "Why on earth are you in my room?"

"It's Mondayyy (y/n), wake up!"

I rolled my eyes
"Why do I have to wake up? Go annoy Kenma not me,"

"(y/n) are you still asleep?" He laughed "You're officially a first year at Nekoma!"

"Yeah sure whatever" I mumbled back as a tired reply until I realized what he had said.
"Oh god, I'm a first year!" I jumped out of bed and ran to try and find my uniform.

"I'm gonna go get ready," Kuroo said with a chuckle as he started to leave my room,"Oh and be quick (y/n), Yaku said he'll be here soon"

I froze and dropped my uniform before running and grabbing my brother by the collar of his hoodie,
"Tetsu, what did you just say!?"

"I said Yaku is gonna be here soon. We're walking to school with him? He's already on his way.."

I began to panic, I'd been crushing on my older brother's teammate since I first met him when he and Tetsurou were both first years, and I'd practically been in love with him for the past two years.
"O-okay um, I'll get ready" I said to Tetsu who was still stood there staring at me confused.

As soon as I got into my bedroom I hurried to get into my uniform not even paying attention to the fact that my skirt was a size too small (making it noticeably too short). I was too busy trying to make sure I looked nice since Yaku was going to see me.

After I had finally made myself look presentable, I heard a faint knock on the door followed by Tetsurou shouting
" (Y/N), HE'S HERE, HURRY UP AND GET DOWN HERE"

I rushed downstairs embarrassed by his shouting, once I'm approaching the door I see Yaku stood there smiling sweetly at me,
"Hey (y/n)," He said as he waved at me,
"Oh h-hey"
"Kuroo said you're coming to see the volleyball team practice after school" He said as we started to walk away from my house.
"Yeah I don't really want to walk home alone on my first day so I don't really have a choice" I replied with a slight giggle.

He smiled and then turned to Kuroo and started to talk about volleyball. I put on my headphones and started listening to my favorite song, not paying attention to the two third years beside me aside from my occasional glances towards Yaku.
